    Life-Wind Druid PVM

Hi (this is not guide or well more a self-guide which I need feedback on, if its good enough put it in the guide-section cause I havent seen any Wind-Druids - PVM there, or did I miss it?)
I was thinkin of building a pure Wind-Druid. I wonder if this build will work ^^
The cold-skills of the druid deals both physical and cold damage so thats why I choose this build. I havent seen any guides for Wind-druids which made me think they are kind a rare in PVM. However this should be descent at PVP to if I made it correct.

    I was thinkin of

    1 Artic Blast
    20 Cyclone Armor
    20 Twister (only synergy)
20 Tornado (physical damage, main attack 1)
20 Hurricane (cold damage, main attack 2)
= 84 Skill points which leaves us ready at level 73 with all +skill quest from N/NM/H. From here I plan to spend in Oak Sage to raise my life a bit.

    My equipment:

Head: Jalals Mane (2 to druid skills)
Armor: Skin of the Vipermagi (30% FCR)(1 to skills)
Weapon 1: Earthshaker (3 to elemental skills)
    Shield1: Spirit (35% FCR)(2 to skills)
    Boots: Silkweave
    Gloves: Frostburn
Belt: Arachnid Mesh (1 to all) (20 FCR)
    Ring1: Ring with FCR (10%)
    Ring2: Ring with FCR (10%)
Amulet: Gaean Amulet (3 to elemental skills)

    Which brings me to:
    6 to all skills
    6 to elemental skills

    105 FCR = 11 frame Breakpoint

With a skillcalc from d2items I have got the info that:
32 Cyclone Armor (2142 damage reduced from elemental)
    32 Twister (only synergy)
    32 Tornado (3641-3859 physical damage)
    32 Hurricane (1720-1835 cold damage)
if you choose to max Oak Sage, with this equpiment he give you a total of 155% life) This give oppertunity to go for more block (dex) instead of life (vit) (for PVP most I guess).

    Stats:
    STR: 136 (to wear Spirit/Stormshield)
Dex: Either no block at all (no points spent) or max block
    Vit: rest here
ENE: No points (Arachnid/Frostburn/Silkweave will take care of it, tot +55% mana and also 20 Energy from Jalals Mane)

    Why I choice to make a Wind-Druid-PVM
¤ Wind-Druid deal both physical and cold damage
¤ He can think less at resist because of Cyclone Armor (tho he must recast it kinda often i late game) - However Jalals Mane/Skin of Vipermagi both gives 55-65 resist all, and Spirit 35% to all except fire which gives you at least almost positive number in most of resists)
¤ Well, he is a druid, ain't that enough? ^^

If you can try to place as few skills as possible until you can place in Tornande and Hurricane. Try to max those two first with only 1 in the pre's (it can be very hard since you wont be place more than 3 skills until you reach lvl 24). Then always place in Tornado and when Hurricane will be placeable put also there. then max Cyclone Armor and last Twister.

    Merc:
Only one kind of merc - Desert A2 merc with Prayer and a really good Insight. Lifesteal Helmet and a descent armor will do the thing.

Now if you have any suggstions how I should change my build and this guide please do so ^^

Without enigma, you might want to swap Earthshaker for another spirit which will give you more fcr/mana, and allow you to use a raven frost for cbf since you will be walking a lot. If you have an insight merc I dont think you will need the frostburns so bad so you could also possibly switch those out to trangs for the fcr/cold res, or magefist for fcr/mana regen. This will allow you to use a ravenfrost so you wont be frozen and allow you to walk faster without tele, and also use a nice stat/res ring.

I don't think anything I mentioned would be that hard to come by even in SP. To save stats for more vit, you could think about swapping out the spirit monarch for a lidless or Rhyme shield with a spirit cry sword. If you have access to arach, you should be able to come up with the lesser items I listed.

Only other suggestion would be to get wolves/gris to help take some pressure off of you.

    Re: Life-Wind Druid PVM

yep, there are my kinds of add-builds which can be used with this build ^^
I think that even with it in a stand-alone version (only the mentioned skills) would go through hell without any bigger problems, but by adding the tank and a oak sage will make him a much better survivor

I will rewrite the guide a bit mention alternatives you provided (new thread that will be closed) and then let someone post it in, in the guide section =)
