Levelling before Hell Baal

I've just gotten my Bonemancer (level 84) past Hell Ancients and tried to get to Baal today. I died twice due to Gloams. I am currently level 84 and wondering what would be the best (ie easiest and quickest) place to level before trying Baal again. Or did I just get unlucky with the monsters that showed up?

Venomous Circlet socketed with 2 perfect rubies (+3 P&B skills, + 76 life)
Rare +1 Necro skills amulet
Wizardspike
Skin of the Vipermaji
Homonculus socketed with a perfect diamond
Frostburns (for mana)
Rare ring with +89 mana
Caster ring
Waterwalks
Magical Plated Belt: +86 life, +11 Cold Resist

I currently use Bone Spirit to kill stuff, confuse and amp as main curses and CE to finish off pretty much everything. I have a level 84 Holy Freeze Mercenary with an "Honour" crytic axe, Tal's Mask, and 849 def, 59 life scarab husk for armour.

Any advice would be appreciated.

hmm... are u in single player or something?
If so, u should keep trying to get past those gloams! i had a lot of trouble with them too, but if you do guerilla attacks (weaken them, go back, hit them again, runaway, prevent monster heal or something like that) u'll get past them easily

go with other players?
do baal runs with other players, it's a lot more fun, and plust u won't be alone.

I'm on bnet I just don't really like playing in parties so much (even though it's half the point of bnet). Maybe I was just having an off day it was just really frustrating that's all. Thanks for the advice though.

In a gloam heavy places, I suggest casting DV ahead of you at all times.

Also, I suggest using bone spear over spirit after confusing a crowd. It is far superior IMO, as you'll be damaging a large number of monsters at once, making them easier drops when you wish to chain CE.

Gloams/Burning Souls should never be a problem for any necro, because you just use Dim Vision to blind them, and then you can take them out with Spear/spirit.

Dim Vision doesn't seem to always catch them all right away. Regardless, I tried again last night and succeeded in the face of a gloam infested second level of the worldstone keep. Thanks for all the advice.

Also, if you're worried about gloam infestations around corners, BS always tracks...
