Leveling

to the PROs, I know leveling thru from normal act1 to hell act 5 after countless number of times for 10 yrs (to those who are like me... playing the game since it comes out) can be tedious...

but I kinda wonder... do ppl still do tat nemore? or... do ppl basically just start a new character, stick beside a buddy and leech exp all the way to lvl80s?

I dunno... I sometimes wonder whether I'm stupid to just hack and slash thru mobs and take like 3 wks or do to get to get to lvl80s

I haven't done that in at least 4 years now, but now I am starting classic and kinda have to hack&slash my way through. Usually I just get grushed and do chaos/baal 'till I'm high enough level.

this is still the normal way... all my characters hack their way through to higher levels and i'd refuse to get rushed through all the work i could have done if anyone offered...

just throwing some opinion around...

wut I sometimes feel is... a lot of builds here are great... but w/o unimagineably-expensive items... they won't be as powerful as they are written...

I know I know... authors usually state at the beginning of the game that you gotta have that item and this item for the build to work... and w/o this armor u will just die in hell

there's been awhile when I see nearly every build having enigma as armor... which makes me think... so if ur character just doesn't get rushed to the end, get offered an enigma armor but instead just hack n slash to level... u'll never have that build completed

Good build guides offer gear choices for poor players. The build usually works with weaker items, but of course you will be creamed in PvP and you will kill slower / survive worse in PvM.

As for leeching exp and rushing, it's usual MP thing, you can't do much with it unless you hate it and go play solo or multi with the players thinking about it the same way.

note that it can be incredibly fun to play with self-found gear (because you treasure the play more, then)

and many people will use builds that will do just fine without good gear (sorceresses) to find these
