    Leveling Merc Vs Buying

    Hello,

I here that there is an advantage to leveling a merc from the lowest possible level. Rather than waiting for hell, to buy a high level merc. So what are the advatages over just buying a hell merc?
Is it worth the effort to level a normal act merc? Before about level 40 mercs seem to level real slow.

    Curry and Diablo is King!

Yes a merc from normal is the best check the table atdiabloii.net As you can see a merc from normal will get more skills, stats, resists than a merc from hell.

    Hi Purkake,

Thanks for the data, more than you ever need to know :)
The difference does not look that great though between a normal and hell merc.

I usually buy a nm merc when I'm about lvl 60. You get a lvl 47 guy then. He can easily be leveled when you go to a 8 player game and clear the worldstone palace level 2 solo.

I never realized how easy it is to level a merc until I did it last week. I just took him to nm cow games and cleared the level. He'd gain a level or two per run up till about 65-70. From there, normal gameplay will catch him up to you real quick.
