I am not certain if people still lv9 duel anymore. Its been a while since I heard about it. I just restarted from little over a year break a couple months back.

I found a wand of the teeth...lv 7 weapon that has no class restrictions. It is a crap weapon but has 127 charges of level 9 teeth and fits in 1 hand with no real requirements to use. My barb was having a ball playing with it and shooting like 10 or so little white balls at stuff.

Would this be a good lv 9 dueler wpn??? I mean figure if people only have so much life and the wpn shoots pretty far and has 127 charges. *shrug*

what your thoughts on that?

Ah, the good old days of lvl 9 dueling.

IMO even though it is a cool wand the damage is to low for the following reason and remember it is IMO only.

The life of a chr is 300+ if I remember my uber chr's which I still have on softcore and the damage my barb or zon does is huge. I E. one hit kills, etc.

Everyone will attain the same FRW speed

In order to cast the teeth you have to run away from them then stop to fire at a slooooow FCR speed. I think that will be a fast death since the opponent will catch you fast and kill you even though he is taking a couple of hits.

One thing though is if teeth would put a chr in FHR the it would be viable but I do not think it would if the chr has 300+ life.

Well not everyone hits the same frw speed. Most vllds have 0 frw, but you can get 20 from boots (sigons or gorefoot) Also, assassins have BOS.

Anyway, even though you could possibly outrun and cast teeth at people, a teeth character is not viable in vlld. The damage is way too low.

The best way to build a teeth char is make it a necro. Use a +3 teeth wand, +3 teeth head, and put 9 teeth, 9 bone armor, 1 clay golem.
The problem is, even at level 15, teeth does 16-21 damage. This damage is 100% negated by putting on 2 nagelrings. It is also probably 100% negated by replenish life (many vllds have 15 replenish which is 1.5 life/sec)

Level 9 dueling, IMO, isn't worth what it costs.
An amulet only useful for level 9 dueling with perfect stats will cost a lot more than an even more useful amulet for high level dueling or mid level dueling.

Level nines rarely win against anyone except other level nines in LLD as well :\

Everything in LLD is more expensive though.

A 3/20/15 is 40 sojs on my realm

A perm 3/20/20 on the other hand, is 5 sojs.

Anyway, of course a vlld cant beat any higher level lld. However they can easily kill pubs up to level 40 or so.
