Lets all play diablo together

Hello SP forum,

Im here on a mission to recruit people that want to play diablo 2 together on twitch. Some really nice people created a way to get together and play d2 via an external site that lets you control the character on there server. It has insane lag its cumbersome and really slow paced. Its intirely nothing like diablo2 on your home computer. But i have found that with planning and patience you can play it. I really would love to get a few more people involved that know the game well and have the time. The fun thing is that you can play from work or even from phone i think. Anything you contribute adds to the character and is appreciated.

The moderators thought that a barbarian would be nice for spamclicking but in actuality its not really playable by more then one person. So you will have to share gameplay if more players login. Maybe in the future they will make a differend char (fishymancher seems ideal) Untill then you are relying on your merc to do most killing. act 1 took over 3 months to complete. but when the merc was installed all went easier. currently we are doing act 2. the skill points have been badly managed probably a troll or someone went for a pure leap build^^ Still we can redo this via akara. i think for a barb howl plus berzerk woul do nicely because of the ground control and for phys imuuns in hell. also finding a good item seems easiest with a berzerk barb. (find steeldriver or bonesnap and your done for the intire playthrew. I cubbed a bill with the savage prefix for the merc so he will be killng nicely now.

So ehm, what i want is for everyone interested to try and theory craft about what build could finish normal, or even act 2. And to help a hand in leveling the character he is currently lvl 19. its slow progress because its single player players 1. Also maybe in the future there could be a thread with all the stories that will emerge from playing. I already have had some nice evenings chatting while playing the game and hope to chat and game with some of you too.

Leap is one of my favorite barb skills. Unless there's a ton of lag, and it sounds like there is a ton of lag. BO, Shout, Iron skin, to help survive the mobs, and a merc equipped with elite gear could be playable at p1. Melee builds are impossible thru lag. Go with a singer barb and hope

Edit: on second thought
Leap may be the perfect skill at that level, if you only use it for short jumps to keep mobs off balance. Singer barbs are great bit probably won't be effective until your higher level.

If you don't have a better weapon, consider using act 2 merc with savage polearm recipe

Hello all there are some nice tips here and we will work to getting a polearm with the savage prefix real soon. act 2 was completed my god that was hard. duriel took everything before falling down had to sell the inventory to get hte merc up for the final blow. Really tens, maybe they will put the videos up there the claw viper temple was incredible i only managed it because i leveled up and leaped into the middle in time. ( very hard with 6-10 seconds delay)

Really would like you to go and kill some stuff in act 3 we need alot of levels before entering act 4. But after duriel i feel confidant.

The build atm revolves around premtive howling so i still think berzerk in the endgame looks best. you should give it a go. Merc does al the work even killed duriel^^

So, its been a bit slow. Act 2 came to an end and act 3 was going great. But the flayer jungle was difficullt the merc was ofcourse the only thing killing things and these swarms of flayers and there shaman masters took several lives. Because we did not have a wp and we forgot tp it was alot of walking back and forth betwen the corpses. Also the companion page ( the page where we controll the character) seemed not to be stable, disconnects made things even harder.

The spiders cave was easy, but took a while to find a day or so^^ Then with some luck we had the flayer jungle spawn close this meant we could skip the great march where the glooms wouldd certainly have been diffficult to deal with. Gidbin was traded for a shitty ring and we went down the flayers dungeon.
Again the site was instable and we could only play for brrief periods of time. The superunique witchdocter proved a challange as expected and killed soulseek2 ( a master player ) Still the next day i restrieved his ccorpse and claimed the smelly brain that is khalim's.

After this it was the grand search for a wp for a day or so. Finaly we killed stormtree he gave us battle orders and level 24. The wp of lower kurast was next to a campfire so im sure we will get 2 sets of tal eth for some stealthy goodness.

We now have 5 points in howl and thats really all that is keeping us alive. Battle orders is not as effective yet because we can only put one warcry on the right click and 35 seconds is almost over when your done switching skills^^ But for bosses it will be great because you dont use howl.

I have done several attemps to upgrade the merc weapon, all failed. One was a savage scyte of swiftness. If only that was exceptional. But we will keep trying.

It may be difficult to setup but why not set hotkeys for the warcries?

@pharphis thx for the tips, i sadly think that we can not acces the menu to set this up. I believe that they are still working to make iputs and control easier so ill pm them with a suggestion for hotkeys.

I have however found a way too quickly bo,tp, and howl. I put some stickers on the screen where the skills are when you press s. This way you dont have to wait 6 seconds to get the skill up. You just click on the space where it will show lateron and it then you can que up your inputs. Than its just as fast as without the input lag. Ill try to get some pictures for the next writeup of whats been done. But its rolling along great atm.

Act 1

Took extremely long to finish this act. After we got merc for free ( lvl8 ) It went quicker. Still we had to kill andy with our own attack. Very close fight.

Act 2e

Very hard act especially the and the vipers cave lvl 2, the greater mummys and ofcourse duriel the OP. The End fight shows us selling some good charms to buy the merc for the last try. The stream goes of at times and to have to go back and kill a full health Duriel would have been a real pain. but.......

Act 3

In Act 2 we where greeted by soulseek2. He tried and learned quickly to cope with the delay. He managed to kill Mephy in a spectaculair way. Relentless merc reviving and good poting. Harder then it seems with extreem delay i can tell you.

Act 4

This act is hard. But learning to take it one click at at time and now knowing how delay effects gameplay made alot of difference. Some people are now just watching and enjoying the slow playthrough. At 26 we where to face Diablo for the first time. The merc was equipped with a savage battle scyte. Took some time to get the plus dex in gear but it was done.

Diablo proved a worhty adversary. We had to rethink our plan. Focusing on getting a few levels first and trying to get max res we asked the host to reset the game for xp and mf. When when the barb was 28, socketed a ethereal weapon with gems and runes and made our shield with resists. It was on once more. Still proving rather hard we where killed many times by the beast. Soulseek2 managed to give us this incredible gameplay. Juggling between pots Bo,s and hits. It looks almost simple. But you are mistaking.
