Last wish and Death

Would a Last wish pb or death pb beed a viable weapon for a melee kicker? The crushing blow from both weapons seems like it could very useful. Also the might aura from last wish would be good or the deadly strike from death. How come people don't talk about using these weps?

Deadly strike doesn't get transfered to kicks. So Death is really only giving you 50% CB and that's about it. And since kickers don't use their kicks for the physical damage, the only thing Last Wish is giving you is the 60-70% CB and the 10% ctc lifetap.

Extra damage never hurts and when you are finishing off high-life monsters, you need a bit more than just cb.

I'd say LW is fairly good if for no other reason than it's very high CB. Add in lifetap, might aura, PMH, and hit blinds target and it's not a bad weapon at all. The fade can also be useful to save you some skillpoints, or annoying if you have a higher level fad than LW (not likely). A lack of ias is basically the biggest pitfall of LW but it can be made up in other ways.

LW isn't an awful kicker weapon, it's just not all that great. And I don't know about you, but if I'm going to spend Mal, Sur, Ber, & 3xJah it better be goddamned out of this world. Especially if it's only going to be used on a pvm build.

It will. Venom is not overridden by lower level, however.

LW is so darn expensive and it doesn't even have static.

Wait, so a lower slvl Venom proc won't override a higher slvl Venom, but a lower slvl Fade proc will override a higher slvl Fade? That doesn't make any damned sense.

One thing you can't accuse Diablo II game mechanics of is making any sense.

I use Lastwish on my kicker and think it's excellent on them. You can use it as your primary sorc of CB freeing up some other gear slots. It's also excellent for Blade fury I think LW is the best well rounded PVM item created. It offers so much , its just expensive.

When your done playing with it on your kicker, then throw it on your smiter or frenzy barb. It rocks their too!
