Ladder

I plan on making a ladder character, and I don't know which Paladin to use. Also, I have no idea what the differences are between a normal character or a ladder character. So can someone specify which Pally to use and what IS ladder?

ladder characters are a seperate population than non-ladder characters. the ladder is a ranking system that shows the top players (by experience earned) in each realm. every once in a while the ladder is reset. this means the ladder characters are moved to the non-ladder population and a new ladder starts (everyone starts at lvl 1 with no items).

i prefer to play ladder because there's less duped/hacked equipment (at least at the start of the ladder).

as to the type of pally... the most popular builds are probably hammerdin and zealot. the hammerdin is a caster type that bring very high damage with good equipment. the zealot has many variations, but uses the zeal skill with some aura (most often fanatacism i think).

for details on these builds look at the top of the thread listing for the build guides. i use a hammerdin (my ladder hammerdin is still lacking) and zealot w/ fanatacism as a diablo clone killer.

Lol, i'm not a moron. I know about all the pally build types. Jus askin which I should use. I currently have a lvl 90 zealot. Anyways, when they reset, do all ur items dissappear and go away?

no they do not , they stay on your char just your char become non-ladder
