Re: Ladder Reset Teams Thread - Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 Ladder resets are great. Nothing gets my blood going quite like it, nothing brings me to the game more than playing next to some of my Diablo 2 friends, and I don't think anything, not even Diablo 3, will have quite the same effect. xbananax, an extension of the ladder reset team, has been a sort of home to me. I've been a noob to the channel, an admin, and back to a regular user by now. Everyone who was there and didn't suck made it a better place, and I'm glad to have experienced it. I've run through a few CTA events. I've done untwinked, ubertwinked, a bowazon, tons of deeds, and tons of Guardians. Power cheesing, power leveling, full clears, and MF runs that made me want to break the game disk. More than the characters or items, were the friends that I've made through xbananax. Shon invited me to play on East HCL, and Chase was my game partner forever. I've had fun times with everyone on my friend list, and some, who aren't there anymore, I do miss. A new ladder has the same pull on all of us. We want to trade unfetted by bots. We want to build characters that suck because we haven't had time to start dropping imperfect Windforce bows because we already have two others on a mule. And we want to play together. And like all climaxes, so comes the resolution. Back to the job or other games, some strive to keep on the spirit, a few run the ladder. But the pull dwindles off, until next time. The fire doesn't burn out, we just run out of fresh will to fuel it with. Thanks to everyone who participated.
