I'm giving a lot of thought to a trapper. Decent damage, and with mindblast I get to create my own tanks! They can even MF the simpler spots, and cows are a cinch. Running to meph would bite, might have to make a sorc as a 2nd character >.<

Well I'm going to start off with a Zerker, I stopped starting off with barbs and started using sorcs to just stockpile weapons... however those sorcs would always die (aggressive player) so I'm going back to my roots on the 25th :D.

I see norm duriel taking down a LOT of people.
Probably, but there are a lot of ways to make normal Durry less tough. People should know how to do these things already.

#1 Bowzon, (I hope I have enough Iths and envy jewels by the time I get to Durry)

#2 Baba, a couple points into Battle Cry and Durial is toast.

#3 Werewolf can tank him with enough points into Oaksage and....

What all three builds will have, an act2 merc with Malice.

I usually play a summoner in HC. I never go to Duirel until lvl 24 when I get summon resist and more importantly, decrepify. Clay golem + decrep = dead duriel.

As response to the first post. I will start 2 chars, one sorceress and a paladin. Then if they survive they will lean to fire/cold, zealing. Reason being that when it get's rough for one char the other one can step in and solve the trouble.
I know it's a bit of chicken play, but you can quickly get two rather good chars who can pick up some goodies on the way to intresting playing.
This is when you play solo which I've done a lot in last ladder. Not afraid of tppk to much but look at it as way to destroy the pleasure of the game.
Mats.
