Ladder PvP Rabies/Fury Druid Final Conclusion

I have decided to follow through and create this PvP Druid.

Um Jalal's (Strapped for resist)
Maras/Highlords/Cats Eye
Enigma/CoH Archon
Botd Zerk
Stormshield
Verdungoes
Sandstorm Trek
Carrion Wind
Ravenfrost
Bloodfist

On Switch- Facet'd Death's Web+ -20% psn res shield

stats- 71 str
dex- enough for max block
vit-rest

skills- 96 total
max lycan
max wolf
max rabies
max fury
1 into raven/spirit wolf/dire wolf/griz
rest into oak

1x 15 all res gc
1x 5 all res sc
7x shapeshift gcs (hopefully with +life)
1x annihilus
rest 20 life scs

some numbers-
19k rabies dmg BEFORE the deaths web+psn shield
9k fury (tested on SP)
6k Life

Hopefully with enough patience I can take down some of those cookie cutters. Please comment on what obvious druid mistakes i have made, since this is my first melee druid of v1.10.

"patience" wont be needed to take people down. if they have to stack poison resist then you can easily kill them in merely seconds with fury. if they stack up on dr then your poison will hurt them deeply. not to mention fury still rips through dr. good luck with your char!~

your rabies should be double that, closer to 40k, not 20.

looks like your most common simple setup, and by golly, it is effective. i highly recommend using trang's instead of bloodfist's. the difference in the amount of poison-hurt you'll be putting on people will numerically be larger, and will seem to you like it's doing a hell of a lot more.

don't bother with cat's eye.

i'd recommend shael jalal's rather than um'd.

forget the resist charms, just use 10x shapeshift gc's with life, with 1 annihilus, and the rest 20 life sc's with second mods. the shapeshift charms are so much more beneficial, in pretty much every aspect except for resist. ESPECIALLY if you get them all with +30 life.

of course, these are all my suggestions, what i did when i still played. and i was good. dayum good. REALLY dayum good.

get a range 5 weapon and shift fury right next to town.
that's ok, but i'd rather run them down and hit them with rabies. it's more fun, and they shouldn't kill you, unless they're a really pumped up fireball or iceblast sorceress.

being two handed works better vs sorcs for me. coh+tomb reaver seems liek the top solution to any res problems.

if all you are doing is fighting casters in public duels you can probobly dominate them all with this setup (except wind druids, which you should use a ber shaft and verdungos against):

eth tomb reaver
um spirit keeper
CoH
tgods or snowclash (depending on whether its a lightning or a cold sorc)
nokozon relic ammy
i dwarf star, 1 ravenfrost
soul spurs or nats boots (depending on whether its fire or cold)
ebotd zerk + psapphire blackoak shield on switch

bloodfists will get you to the 42 fhr break with noko on.

You don't really need ar to hit most casters (except hammerdins, which you should use about the same setup as vs a wind druid - all out ar and damage)

casters are generally easy.
