So, what problems were you having? Perhaps folks here can suggest some gear and strategy changes based on your experiences.
Well, forti+phoenix add just not enough to kickdamage. If the amplify damage triggered , it would suddenly kill very fast. The problem is however in 1.10 duelling that all duellers got too high damage. Most off the time my assa died before i even could get 3 hits in. I did'nt really expect this, since i had 2500 life 50% dr and fire and lighting res both 85 with a huge stack. It almost seemed like dtalon is bugged or something with 17k ar vs nondef-nonblock chars i even missed a lot of kicks. Also with all those spirit using casters my maxed mindblast (with only 20%fcr) didn't seem to even stun for a millisecond.

I think the only good option for making a kicker nowadays is making it a c/c anticaster. Builds wich aim to be allround duellers just aren't really viable anymore on 1.10 compared to my 1.09 azuwrath and lacerator kickers

I just put most of my charms and items back onto my doubledream palabear wich is much more fun to play with.

2500 life is LOW. You need at least 3K, if not more.

Here are the problems with a melee style kicker in 1.10, some of which you mention:
1. Damage in 1.10 is TOO high. Things like grief and fortitude are instant death to kickers.
2. The kick needs to connect. If you have high level kicks, you are locked in kick animation FOREVER. The result is that opponents often get slapped just a tiny bit out of range and you are doing 6 kicks at empty air.
3. You will never kill casters unless you get lucky, without teleport and fastcast.
4. To get high physical damage, you have to sacrifice too much life.
5. To get high max block on a shield, you have to sacrifice too much life.
6. You have to pump venom and get shadow GCs anyway. By not doing high level venom with 10 shadows your damage was 50% LESS than what it could have been! And if you do have a good amount of venom, you might as well be WW!!

just telling everyone they should just give up on the kicker is really uncool to say, cause i myself have a ck kicker with max all res with BoS and i dont need nigma to chase down those stupid sorcs who think they can just shoot me a couple times and ill just stand there and let them so u CAN make a viable ck kicker u just gotta try hard enough and try and figure out optimum gear for them and u dont need tele and fastcast to catch casters xcept 200fcr fb sorcs but those chars are hard to find.

First: I don't say "give up on kicker". I play(ed) a kick/ww hybrid. I say a non-teleport kicker and/or melee kicker (esp. one who focuses on physical damage instead of poison like this guy) is basically a lost cause in 1.10. And it is.

Second: If you play a kicker without enigma and some fast cast, you will NOT beat good duelers. If you are beating people it's because they weren't very good to begin with. Sorry, it's just the truth. In both ladder 1 and ladder 2 I have played kickers and ww sins almost exclusively. In ladder 1, I played nothing but kickers the entire ladder season (both on and off the ladder). I know what I'm talking about.
