[L] The remaining points

So i started this fishymancer a while ago and at the start of my 80's i seem to have atleast 15 spare skill points.

I have maxed out the 'core' build for fishymancers.

Now, what should i put these in?
Skeleton Mages seems.. Like something i dont need, but Golems are quite cool really - What golem would be the best for area runnings and boss running?
And what would grant me the best golem - putting points in the Golem itself or Golem Mastery?

What about maxing Bone Spear or something?

I dont know, give me some advice here :grin:

You can go mages for extra damage and meat sheilds...

You can go bone armor synergies for a HP boost, only works against physical damage though...

You can go DV, blind enemies don't rush allowing you to 1v1 them...

You can go golem/gmastery, boosts golem HP, I would only do this if you are planning on making an insight golem...

You don't want spear/spirit because they need synergized to be effective, and you don't have enough points left over for that.

Pumping up bone armor via bone wall is the route I usually take. You can usually get it high enough to add another 300-400+ points of hp vs physical damage.

The best golem for running areas tends to be a fire golem (draws aggro to itself) or an Iron golem with something like an IK Maul or some other semi-decent elite weapon w/ mods.

For boss running, the best golem is either a clay golem, or again an Iron Golem with a good slowing weapon/crushing blow weapon.

Clay golem has so much hp/etc from +skills (or should if you're geared fairly well) that pumping that skill up doesn't return much. Golem Mastery is really only important if you plan to make a good Iron Golem

Bone spear/spirit won't do enough damage without synergies, so it's really a waste of skill points.

Mages are an option if you want to use them, but the primary curses (amp/decrep/life tap) don't really compliment mages very well.

Thanks for all info guys, i think ill try out the Fire Golem for running areas

My SOP is to do both of these - max DV and then put everything else into BW for the BA synergy.

But yeah, pumping Mages or Golems is about the only other practical choice. There aren't enough skill points left to make any of the P&B attack skills very useful.
