heh... i have been playin from 2100ish till 2220ish... so you probably have just logged on just after i left.
and MrKaxe poosted he would be on much later, from 2330ish onwards...

Unfortunately that's the way it is with my lady; i don't get on til 10:30-11 UK time weeknights except Mondays when she's at college brushing up her English (she's Polish) so i guess i won't see you guys much 
(Apologies to *Xerxiax as i left the necro in a game during the day and went back to the office from lunch and as i was afk i hope i didn't mean to appear ignorant!)
Last night i got on at 10:30 but into TheDK acc as my m8's were wondering where the hell i have got to as i'm in the SpankeyMonkey account that has only you guys on the /f list so that's why i probably just missed you guys being online...
Anyhoo, got through norm to Act 5 last night from Arcane Sanc to Bloody Foothills...the sad part is i was holding up the games thro Norm and i'm a damn untwinked Bone/Poison Necro! Cowardly Barbs n Pala's were making me tank when i'm supposed to be shooting! Got the Spirit sword on now n the rate the Bone Spears come out (I opted for Spear as it pierces = multi target dmg) is silly compared to early lvls! Got band practice tonight but i will try n get thro Act 5 and do some Baalruns at 11pm UK time (where i'm sure more idiots will accuse me of being a PK...got that alot thro Act 1 Norm..."PK clan?") then hopefully get into NM ready for Monday...

well... done a good job bringing him to that point in the game that fast.
tomorrow evening (friday) i could possibly be online much later then normal. but i guess your lady will be up much later as well?
anyhow... keep up the good work, lvling to 43~45 ish should be a piece of cake in baalruns now.

Unfortunately yes, after leaving the office on a Friday i pretty much go straight round to our flat (i stay with my folks on a weeknight as i work with my Dad & Bro as it's more convenient to travel to the office as a unit
) but as her Mum is over from Poland atm (stealing my bedspace!) i might well be on Friday night after all...but not regularly and quite late! (11:00 UK min start!!)I'll see who's on and go from there...could need some Ancients help but tonight i'm planning on going through Act 5 from the base of the Bloody Foothills to Anya before i think of possibly fast-tracking that to Baalruns!

Might be wrong, but I think you have to complete the ancients before you can take a portal to the WSK.

Yes dude, you are right...that's my fault...oddly worded by me...i meant to say i wanted to do the Q's as opposed to fast-tracking Ancients then Baalruns and not have Anya and a spanking new shield with Anc Pledge in it instead of that 2 Diamond Large Shield affair!

Well, after lugging my *** up the Bloody Foothills to Ancients (can't remember how i did them; last Anc i did was with Druid was a public {OMG! :shocked: } effort where 8 of us rained hell on em with triumph; how it should be) and Baalrunning like there was no tomorrow (ninja-ed a Peasant Crown along the way in WSK2...immediate Perf Sapp in it ) i got to lvl 50, proceeded to NM and did the first 3 Q's of Act one and then xerxiax logged in and very kindly rushed me throught the rest of NM to where you guys are now ready to do Anya! After profuse thanking he left and i did the fill-in quests to take me up to lvl 56 (nearly 57) so it's all go for tonight! I'll be on a.s.a.p (probably 7pm UK depending on what time i get back from the office, eat etc) but i'll find you guys! Laterz

it was a wonderfull evening yesterday peeps.
no real lag (except some caused by zillions of poison nova's), a good strong party, no death's (except some monsters that is) and some nice finds (peasant crown, fal among others). and above all a nice friendly party with plenty of killing power and lots of time to chat.
specialy the ancients must regret they ever tried to fight us... man they died fast!
also some real good lvling by all i think, i got some 7 lvl's yesterday, and i think moost others did about the same.
already looking forward till next week guys, keep the spirit going!

I second that, was plenty fun! Was it Nova or Explo that was causing the lag? Not sure really, i just like the fireworks on that Necro! Thx v much again for letting me be in on this...my m8 Wailingdoom in SP (HC veteran of many years) is beginning to be swayed by this adventure...

Also, the stragglers at the end did a cow run and found a couple of useful items. Nothing mega wow, but a sol and that long wished for 4 sox polearm (scythe, I think). So now we should be able to make insight and solve some of those mana problems.
I didn't really notice any lagging, not skill related, or other. Btw, there isn't really any big advantage in spamming poison nova, as the spell effects last for a fixed 2 seconds. All spamming does is to reset the clock - no additional damage is done (unlike firewall, for example).
I think next week, we should start off with a few baal runs for another few levels and then start hell.

Just thought I would make a lil post to show my interest in joining this group as MrKaxe pointed out.
Started playing diablo 2 about 7 years ago, and the past few years its been on and off. Currently playing single player as I find it more of a challenge, /players 8, untwinked, self found etc, but what I do miss the most is playing with other players and actually working as a team to finish the game.
Certainly sounded like you had a blast last night with your game and thats something I would like to enjoy too. I have no clue what I would play, something fun and I'm sure MrKaxe will offer to aid me in the first stages. I dont have an account yet, *spankedmonkey is already gone ;-).

I know dude but my hotkeys were screwed around as you lot only wanted Decrep, Dim Vision and Corpse Explo and i'm used to Lower Resist-Poison Nova-Bone Spear-BS-BS-BS-PN so juggling Decrep etc in there made me spam the wrong spell!

Just for info, we have finished NM and are about lvl 65 or thereabouts. What sort of chars do you prefer ? We don't have an amazon in the group.
Also, it is possible to have 2 people using the same account, just not the same char. This would mean that you both have the password to that account and that an enormous amount of mutual trust is needed - something you two need to decide ...

I was thinking about an amazon actually, I had a burizon on bnet when they were popular (got her to lvl 94) and a Javazon (lvl 87). Never done a strafzon or freezezon(heh?) so I have those 2 to consider. Also thinking about a leaping barbarian with a massive polearm/2handed sword to smash into the minions skulls. Maybe even a pure lightning sorc or trapper, never really liked lightning based spells for some reason. Maybe I can rain fire onto minions with a spammable immolate build. Oh the choices are endless..
Unfortunatley I know MrKaxe in RL and for nearly 20 years but I'll still make a new account ;-)

If you were interested in a FA zon dude they can be quite good as i have a full Mav's one and with Eye of Etlich and Raven and charms (all add to freeze duration) they stay frozen solid in Hell (safety 1st!) for ages...

a freezazon is a good choise, and fun too. (i played 1 in a previous KTA)
i also did play a leaper barb... and aldough they are a ton of fun as well there are a few problems with them. 1th... they will need a HUGE weapon... and since we have a charger already that needs that as well we would be fighting for the best weapons. 2th they get MASSIVE attack rating problems once they mature... (at least untwinked). in the KTA session i played the leaper (KTA-BunnyBarb he was called :grin: ) i did not even try to hit anything anymore past act 2 hell... chances to hit were to tiny!.
then more... we already have BO atm... so if you really want to play 1, and despite what i wrote above i wouldn't advise against it (just to much fun, and HUGE crowd control) , do so in the next KTA.
