    Kingslayer runeword

Is Kingslayer runeword strong enough to be an endgame weapon with a zealot? If so what weapon should i socket it in?

I think it's viable enough to be an endgame weapon. I'd recommend making it in a Berserker Axe, or a Cryptic Sword.

I second Masas... very viable and those are very good item types to socket in. All the moods are very good for a zealer, some even godly and the Vengeance should help a bunch against physical immunes.

Zealers Get Vengeance with only one point skill ;)

I think there are good weapons for a zealot, you can save your runes for another runewords. and don't forget that Berseker Axes have a problem of durability.

    You can use:

Butcher's Pupil (upgrade Lum & Pul)
    Nord's Tenderizer - Truncheon
Demon Limb - Demon Limb (eth)

This are hard to find but easier then Mal+Um+Gul+Fal

    Heaven's Light - Mighty Scepter
    The Redeemer - Mighty Scepter
    Horizon's Tornado - Scourge
    Death Cleaver - Berserker Axe
    Canebeak - War Spike

Mine is using this (still waiting for Schaefer's Hammer) at 4FPS:

    Stone Crusher
    Legendary Mallet
    'Shael'
    One-Hand Damage: 210 to 256
    Durability: 65 of 65
    Required Strength: 189
    Required Level: 68
Mace Class - Normal Attack Speed
    Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
    Item Level: **
    Fingerprint: 0xea9ef4d7
    +21 to Strength
    +320% Enhanced Damage
    20% Increased Attack Speed
    Adds +23 Damage
    -25% Target Defense
-100 to Monster Defense Per Hit
    150% Damage to Undead
    40% Chance of Crushing Blow
    Socketed (1: 1 used)

I have a related question. How viable would a Kingslayer Champion sword be as an end-game weapon for a WW-Barb?

Must learn to think before typing...Sometimes I'm such a big idiot..

I also totally agree with Lucky_Seven that there are many better options out there...

Litmus Dragon: A Kingslayer champion sword would not reach the last Whirlwind breakpoint thus making it somewhat not very good...Same as above...lots of better and cheaper options. The last whirlwind breakpoint for swords is -35 I believe.. This means that you take the base weapon speed (champions sword is -10) and subtract the amount if Increased Attack Speed on the weapon itself (other sources of IAS, like 20% from gloves will NOT work with whirlwind). With your Kingslayer Champion sword it would be -10-20=-30 just 5 points shy of the breakpoint:(

According to the summit, the IAS on Kingslayer should be %30 and not %20. That would mean that I would hit the last WW breakpoint, right?

I'm planning to start an Ironbarb soon. I've narrowed my weapon choice down to one of two options: Bonehew, or a Kingslayer Champion Sword. Both would hit the last breakpoint, if I understand correctly (the Bonehew would require IAS jewels, but I've got those). The Bonehew would have the better damage, but the Kingslayer has a better chance to hit and crushing blow as a bonus.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If the IAS on Kingslayer is 30% then it would indeed reach the last breakpoint...sorry I don't know where I got the 20%. I feel very strongly that a melee character should wear a shield...75% to block is just too good to miss. The Kingslayer can be wielded both 1/2 handed and offers more flexibility. The mods on Kingslayer definitely outweight the extra damage on Bonehew..with the crushing blow Kingslayer would probably deal more damage than Bonehew...especially against big HP targets, also the Vengeance would be very sweet for a Barb...not so useful for a Pally as Lucky_Seven pointed out:). Besides having a shield would also up your defence quite a bit if you're maxing Shout/iron skin which I assume you're going to (Ironbarb)...Definitely go with Kingslayer...superior damage (with CB and +to hit), superior speed, more flexible, option for shield.

my WW barb used this as his end game weapon (along with a 36/15'ed GF):

    Kingslayer
    Colossus Sword
    'MalUmGulFal'
    One-Hand Damage: 94 to 255
    Two-Hand Damage: 222 to 441
    Durability: 23 of 50
    Required Dexterity: 95
    Required Strength: 182
    Required Level: 60
Sword Class - Fast Attack Speed
    Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
    Item Level: **
    Fingerprint: 0x72dc16b
    +10 to Strength
    +265% Enhanced Damage
    40% Extra Gold from Monsters
    30% Increased Attack Speed
    +1 to Vengeance
    -25% Target Defense
    Prevent Monster Heal
    20% Bonus to Attack Rating
    50% Chance of Open Wounds
    33% Chance of Crushing Blow
    Socketed (4: 4 used)

    I love that sword!
