    Killing speed and drops

    Hi!

One of my friends told me that higher killing speed generates more or better item drops. This is opposite what i've read about drops - so the only things that matter are: the level of the killed monster, players in the game/party, and mf (only for get better, not more items).

I didn't made big tests, but recently I let my merc kill the enemies one by one, and i hardly see other drops than potions, arrows, ect if any. And if I overkill the whole devilkin camp in two seconds, I usually see superior items, flawless gems too. On hell difficulty both.

What do you think about it? Is it just a superstition or is it a game feature?

Uhh, guys, killing speed DOES affect drops, although not directly.
You kill faster, you do more runs in a given amount of time, you get more items, therefore you get more valuable drops, simple as that.

Putting into simpler language: if you get 1 unique per 100 kills, and you play for a given time (let's say one hour), then you'll get 10 uniques if you score 1000 kills, but you'll get 20 uniques in the same time if you kill twice as fast, scoring 2000 kills.

That's why you have to decide how much MF% to sacrifice for killing power and safety, and how much killing power/safety to sacrifice for MF%...

about killing speed: ask your friends to do some killings for you => more friends more killings => more killings more killing speed.

    check ATMA calculator

yes, istPizza, you're right. I meant killing speed is speed of "killing fixed amount of monsters". There are 20 monsters in an area. Would be differences in drops if you kill them in two minutes (one by one) or if you kill them in 2 seconds?
