my current setup (lvl84):

helm: Guillaume's Face (going to be Um'ed)
armor: Lionheart / Smoke (it would be CoH if I could afford it)
gloves: Dracul's
boots: Up'ed Gores
belt: IK
shield: Stormshield (PDiamond)
weap: Heaven's Light (2xShael) / 2x +3 pre-buff shadow claws
rings: 2x 20dex Ravens
amu: Cat's / Metalgrid
3x ma skillers, anni

With current gear I have:

5 kicks at 8/3 (7/3 with BoS)
8.9k AR (10.8k with metalgrid)
1.7k def
1.2k life
max block with Cat's (66% with metalgrid)
res with fade 75(76)/75(108)/75(104)/48
+27 with metalgrid
+20 with smoke

I'm building her mostly for ubers but want to keep her viable in general pvm (Cat's amu for general pvm, metalgrid for ubers). I'm totally new to assa class so here are the questions:

1. Should I keep dual raven setup (each one allow me to save 20dex which equals to 60life) or switch one to carrion wind for example (9ll).
2. If I do so wouldn't carrion CTC spells slow down kick animation ?
3. What about amu ? Cat's looks like must-have to me (+25dex) but maybe there are better options.
4. Weapon. I'm using Heaven's only because I've found it. Last Wish is far beyond my reach so what would be better ? Crescent PB, Stormlash, Death PB (rather expensive one but affordable).

Dual Ravens sound fine to me. You can replace the second raven with a good bul-kathos ring or a godly rare one (with life leech), but if those are too expensive, just stick to your raven.

I've never thought of Cats Eye as being must-have. It all depends on whether or not you need the speed and whether or not you need things like resists and +skills. Remember that Maras or a +2 assa rare amu will allow you to ditch the 2 martial arts skills and replace them with 20life small charms. That's 120 life right there.

For the armor, I'd go with Duress (ShaelUmThul). It has crushing blow, open wounds, cold damage (which transfers to your kicks) and much more. Even the most expensive runewords don't come close to this one.

As for the weapon, Stormlash is a godly (not to mention expensive) weapon. If you're content with 65% Crushing Blow however, I would go for a weapon with heavy elemental damage. Lawbringer (AmnLemKo) is cheap and cool.

Well, another reason of why I'm considering switching one raven to carrion is my rather low poison res. As for amu, the reason I think cats/metal is better option is that I do not benefit from mara's +2 as much as other builds. I will have +2 from CoH in the future anyway. (Price is another reason ). You are right about duress, I will be getting one soon. I've been using lionheart mostly for leveling (+str). But that's for general pvm. For ubers however, I would go for smoke/CoH anyway. I'm not experienced uber hunter so I'm going to stack as much resists as I can to help me survive. As for the stormlash, yes its rather expensive but low-med ed ones should be affordable and lawbringer is out of question because of 'res in peace' mod.
