Blizz, Wow, you are pulling a stupid one now. Duped runes, how long have they existed?... hmmm, since the beginning of... oh Lord of Destruction, maybe.
You choose now, in a heavily Rune//Runeword based economy to start flushing them. Even pre-1.10, runes were becoming a staple. People were salvating over the "Legit Ith" and "+ Teleport" and so on. Runewords were going to become the thing, and they are. So blizz sees that the game needs to be made harder to adjust to this flux of powerful items they so created. Whether the game got harder or the runewords were made, the two go hand in hand. Yes, there are uniques out there that make life easy, but gettin that balance of DR, Res, and Skills is such a chore, when simply a Chains of Honor can fill that.
Do you want Holy Freeze merc and Might merc? Why not use a Might merc using holy freeze (Doom Polearm)? The elite runewords of now are like the hard to find SS, Valor, Gf, Wf, and yes, even Iths, of the days of old.
But Kbob, they are duped. Duped bad! Yes, duping goes against the 3rd party Agreement. Yes, it is bad. But since a small % of the population decide to cheat and spread the "wealth", do the legit players have to suffer as well? Saving for that next BotD, just one more rune for Enigma, All for chains of honor... these have all been done by me and I am not alone. Flushing hours of hard earned work down the toilet is what this feels like. I feel that some of my chars would become crap, without these items to make them kill somewhere past a crawl.
So legit people are suffering too, anything for the better of B.net right? Wrong. Wow, they made ladder for a reason... to reset every now and then so that people can start fresh. Why not just dump the ladders with all their dupedness with the already dupe base economies (I only know USeast, which is 290 small psn charms and 3/20/20s) of reg and let people who enjoy what they have now keep on enjoying and let the people who want the cleanliness of legit stuff play the new ladder.
Another good point: Legit players are suffering to Blizz laziness. There, I said it. If Blizz or Battle.net, whoever, would have squashed the dupers fast and early, then we wouldn't be here. They let the problem grow by allowing eBay vendors and more exist. Catch the problem early and it increases the chance of recovery greatly.
Well, I could cont. but a Thunder storm is rolling in and well... I left my Wisp Projectors at home so, I better get off my comp.
