Just how legit are you?
I'm bored. Gloams almost killed me walking down the stairs into the throne so I'm afraid to MF baal for a bit, and lines are rather ridiculous to run E/S/P, so I reckon I'll make a survey.
0) Answer yes to this question and the rest is meaningless, as you are quite plainly not legit: Do you employ the use of any 3rd party programs to play the game?
No.
1) Do you use/would you use the bone marrow bug?
Yes, I do.
2) Do you use the first time drops bug?
No, but that's due mostly to laziness:return.
3) Do you use you use the WP timer skip?
No, but I would if I thought it could get me the ear of a botter.
4) Do you manually TPPK?
The only people I'd do it to would chicken on hostile, so no.
5) If a bug such as the dual weild bug were to be found, would you use it? What about a dupe bug like in D1?
It would depend on the bug, but in those specific cases, no I would not.
6) Do you feel that exploiting any bug in the game gives you an unfair advantage over those who do not know the bugs?
Yes I do.
7) Do you feel that exploiting one bug is the same as exploiting any other, keeping in mind that there was a duping bug in Diablo 1?
Yes I do, however I will still draw my own personal lines, no matter how irrational that seems.
8) Do you play with "passive" maphackers?
Yes, frequently.
9) Do you play with the sort of maphackers who either shout out directions or teleport/run straight to targets?
I play with the ones who use their hack to go straight to the destination, however if they're telling me directions I tell them to STFU or walk themselves.
10) Would you ever help someone who is using a maphack?
Yes I do.
11) Do you feel that questing/running with maphackers taints the legitness of your character?
Not especially, find me a group of 7 legit people who'll do 70 runs in the time it takes the hackers to do 100 runs and I'll play with them. Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge such a group doesn't exist, so if I want to do numerous exp runs in one day I have no real choice but to play with people who MH.
12) Do you play with botters?
Yes.
13) Would you ever help someone who bots?
I'll help my friends. If I find out a friend of mine bots they are still my friend. If I find out someone I don't know bots and I'm helping them, that's the end of that. I'll also report anyone who talks about their botting, friend or not, I don't want to hear about it.
14) Do you trade with botters?
No. If they are able to trade their items, they are being rewarded for botting.
15) Do you feel that playing with or trading with botters taints your character?
No, their godly gear might speed runs up a bit, but really even without godly gear monsters in the throne die just as fast. Trading with them I don't do, but I don't feel it taints your character if you do.
16) Do you rush/power act at all?
Yes, generally I play the game through, but sometimes I'll rush/take a PA, PA a friend, etc.
17) Do you mule at all?
Yes. I have 12 mules and one PvM character.
18) Are you aware Blizzard never intended either of those things to be parts of the game, and do you feel it is illegit to do them?
Yes I am aware, and I feel it is "cheating" in the sense that you aren't really playing the game it was meant to be played. You are exploiting the rule system that is in place. However you are not breaking the rules, or finding loopholes that other players may not know about to gain an advantage. It is on these to subjects that I feel the "play the game the way I see fit" arguement applies.
19) Did you answer any of these questions in such a way that could comprimise your legitness?
Yes, especially the bone marrow one.
20) Are you going to stop complaining about what other people do, if you equally do not play the game legitly, as cheating is cheating?
I'll at least feel a bit hypocritical about it.
