have a lightning javazon.. lightning fury obviously that im still working out eq for...

i plan to use for key finding act 1-4 bosses and cowing.. shes got enigma...

1. do i receive crushing blow from gore riders throwing javs. or should i stick with my wartravs..for mf..

2. what are the best pasives to invest in.. im thinking peirce,,, i have 1 point in each skill .. purely to receive the additional bonuses from my gear... ends up having bout 10 in all passive skills...

3. merc... i cant afford infinity for the 45-55 % - lightning defence... so i am tossing up between one of my good insights.. 17 med 850 dmge (eth)... or Eth cresent moon orge axe... for the -35% lightning defence.. (i can here someone whispering "waste of a um" but i'v made it and it has bout 630 dmg)

the -35% seems to help when i cow...

Why do people always use amazons for things they weren't made. Amazons don't make good key hunters nor good bosrunner for the simple reason that they can't teleport effective. A sorceror, paladin or barbarian will be much more effective.

Yes you do; though why would you want to. Lightning fury and charged strike are that powerfull that they make crushing blow useless.

Pierce deffinetly is the most important, though when using razortails, one point is more then enough. If you really want, valk is very usefull aswell though the full power lightning amazons skip the d/e/a - therefore valk - in favor of lighting synergies.

Crescent moon is useless. -res - conviction isn't -res, it an aurea - only work for the character holding the weapon. So your merc will do more lightning damage though you won't. Therefore, crescent moon is something you probably don't want to use.
And not to say the there isn't a merc that can use axes.

Save us all some time and read a guide, or browse the summit. All of your questiong would have been answered.

i have been looking at guides and yes have made the mistake with the merc "crescent moon".. bit of trial and error here.

Ama is not so bad boss runner. Surely not the best, but good enough.
I did some testing after reading your text.

Started timer at town and stopped when Boss were dead.

Took 2min 59 seconds to kill hell diablo. Usually I kill all, but now I opened just sinets.
Took 5min 20 seconds to kill baal. Lister was immune, so that took little extra.

Merc survived both runs. Zero potions were used. Ama has 232mf and only +15 hard points in vitality. No BO were used. Windforce strafer with Faith merc. One pala combat skiller was found, so not bad run.

edit: did 2 more runs 3min 20 sec for dia (couple immunes) and 4min 20 sec for baal (no immunes this time, but much longer tele time). I have enough mana for tele and good life leech, so no need to use any bottles in these runs.

Have you done the same with a geared sorc? Only the teleport time will give you about 1/3 less time.

If you want to mf with amazons, the keys are not running after bosses or keys, but running alvl 85 area's. You don't want one target, you want as many targets possible as that's were amazons shine.

Yes I have and both runs are faster with sorc if merc survive. But that act2 merc gets killed too often for my taste.

I agree that running tc85 areas are best target for ama, or actually any mf char. Pits, chaos, those 1-3 lvls before throne, those are easiest to locate and clear for ama.
If some random monster type is takes too much time, its so easy to skip whole lvl with tele. No point to tele at all, if you can clear fast whole lvl anyway.
As both Dia and Baal are surrounded with tc85 areas, both quite easy to clear for ama, no need to hurry to get there.


Sorc is faster, but you need to skip certain areas/lvls to keep merc alive.
With ama, I like to clear areas that are hard for my others chars, like lvls full of iron maiden cursing knights, or area full of black souls. Or clearing throne with dolls, souls and iron maiden knights. Ama is not fastest, but she don't have to skip any area, she can kill all, if needed.

And doesn't matter if solo or full game, valkyrie tanks, so ama can still clear the area.


Ama tele 12- frame and sorc 7-8 frame, not huge difference for running chaos or teleing to throne. But running keys or meph is totally different. But at least des key is quite easy for ama, because map is always same, but those two other key runs are for sorcs.

Then you aren't running diablo or baal, you are running chaos or wsk with diablo/baal as the icing on the cake. Atleast according to my definitions
