Whereas I don't believe the words "Stewart" and "brilliance" belong in the same sentence. Yes, I enjoy his show on occasion, and every once in a great while he makes an attempt to not be completely partisan, but for political humor he's nowhere near P.J. O'Rourke.I think the brilliance of Stewart is that he says a lot by saying very little.
I agree with your concept completely; I just don't think Stewart is as 'deep' as you credit him with being. He goes for low-hanging fruit.When you put it like that, I guess I see Stewart as the opposite of Obama, in a way. If Obama is shallow masquerading as deep, then Stewart is deep masquerading as shallow.
