    javazon weapon of choice?

ok, weapon in question is Thunderstroke and Titan's revenge.
We all know how good titan is :)
what I am not sure about is thunderstroke.

Right now I am using griffon (no facet..) and merc has infinity. This pretty much solves all problem with lightning immune.

but i found a thunderstroke and it has nice -15% res and added lightning damage. And i don't actually lose any skills as titan geives + 4 java skill and so does thunderstroke.

    So my questions is..

which is better? I am going to igonore melee damage becasue this hardly ever matters. same for leeching.

So all things considered, which is better weapon for Java?
given that they are both elite class, and this is purely javelin only character.

I light Titan's better since they auto replenish when you're throwing LF, and the stat bonuses are awesome. TStroke are more for an amazon who focuses entirely on CS.

Agreed. I think you won't want to return to town so often to just repair the quantity of your javalin...
And also your merc is using infinity anyway, so if you are pvm the extra -15% lightning resist won't make that much difference.

Only +3 javalin skill isnt that great, a thunderstroke can win this easy.
Lancer's amazon javalin of quickness, with +3 to javalin skill base, now thats THE javalin.
Although it can't happen on Mat javalin anymore, where the best on that are 6/30 IAS :azn:

Ethereal titans would probably be your better choice. Heck.. IMO a non-eth titan would do the job well in pvm too.

Nothing against the Titans- they're awesome. . .and they have lower requirements to equip than the T-strokes as well. Many builds are enhanced with them more so than with the 'Strokes.

That being said though, I still prefer the 'strokes. My Lightning 'Zon uses fully synergized CS/LS/LF skills and the strokes simply put down more of my main type of damage than the Titans.

ALL non-lightning immune monsters (including Bosses) simply wet their pants in fear at the very sight of a fully synergized Lit Zon packing 'strokes. :jig:

Well, not necessarily. Let's say a monster is LI with 110% Lightning Resistance. Infinity would knock that down to 93%, and a perfect Griffon's would knock that to 73%. Adding Thunderstrokes to the mix further reduces the enemy to 58%, which is the same thing as a 55.6% increase in damage. I'd hardly say that 55.6% "won't make that much difference".

Outside of broken LIs, though, you're correct- Titans and TStrokes are pretty comparable in terms of damage output. But TStrokes runs away with the competition against broken LIs. I'd still vote Titans, anyway, because I like the extra +2 to my passives.
