Javazon for cows

Javazon for cows

I'm looking for the best equipment to run cows at the fastest rate. I'm looking to find white/grey items mostly so MF is the least wanted of mods. I have some ideas of what to wear while the rest is still unsure. Please help fill out if u can and leave some explanation behind as well. Thanks!

Weapon: Titans
Shield: Spirit
Helm: Andy's
Armor: ? (CoH or Fort? Also low on HRs so a cheap non-rw would be great if it works)
Glove: ? (Probably the best rare 2/20 gloves I can find on mule)
Belt: Razortail
Boots: ? (Non war trav since I don't want MF)
Amulet: ?
Ring 1: Ravenfrost
Ring 2: Dual leech (for mana leech)

Also for charms, besides java GCs, torch and anni, what else should I put on as well? Life, poison or max dmg scs?

armor, COh is best, though if you want dirth cheap. Peace - 2 skill - may be intersting. Other options are ormus. 15% extra lightning damage is huge.
Helm: griffon's is better, though probably more expensive then the rest of your gear.
gloves: just use 3 java skills/20 iaS.
amulet, something with 2 skill or highlords if you fancy ias.
boots: get those boots that give mana per kill (silkweave IIRC).

Charms are up to you, you don't need charms, so you can chose. Note that a torch might get your disconnected once to often. Ditch it if this happens to often.

Re: Javazon for cows

Here is a great setup for doin Cows fast:

Helm:
Walkyrie Ving +2skills/20frw/20fhr/4maek(mana after each kill) sox: Tir(2maek) or -req/3maek or ias/3maek jewel
Also, a +2/30frw/2sox is a good choice, but more expensive

Armor:
Enigma +2skills/45frw Great mods. The MF on it will not matter that much.

Belt:
Razortail 33% pierce

Boots:
Silkweave 30frw/5maek/+10%mana

Gloves:
+3java/20ias

Shield:
Lidless +1skill/5maek/+10%mana sox: Tir or ias/3maek jewel
or Spirit Monarch +2skills/~112mana/55fhr

Weapon:
Titans +2skills/+2skills/30frw/replenish

Amulet:
Cats eye 30frw
or a rare +2skills/mana/light-fireres
or plain Mara +2skills/res

Rings:
SoJs +1skill/mana
or BKs +1skill
or rare resist/stat ring

Charms:
Torch
Anni
Javaskillers w 7frw
scs 3frw/resists

This setup gives you:
up to 20 +skills
up to 200frw
lots of mana(LF is a manadrainer)
+ a whooping 20 maek!

Re: Javazon for cows

Alright. I think I got the gear pretty much figured out.

Now about the skills allocation.

This zon is gonna be strictly for cows running. I plan to max LF/LS/CS/PS/rest in LB and enough pts for 100% pierce and all pre-req. Does that sound fine or do I need 1 pt in dodge/evade/aviod?

Also, need help in stats allocation.

Str - Enough for gear
Dex - ?
Life - ?
Mana - Zero

Re: Javazon for cows

Strenght and dexterity -> enough for gear if no max block.
Mana -> Depending on build, some like to put some pts here. But 99,5% leaves this at base
Life -> The rest here

D/E/A - Not necesarry, but if you like 1pt is enough. Save up some points and if you see that you need some dodging, put some pts.

NN merc with my build. He can also slow you down, he messes up the herding of the cows. If you are going for merc, use either Infinity or Insight, but dont use Fortitude on him, cause he then might accidently kill the King.

you may want a jab switch to kill the light immune bosses you'll run into. i use demon limb prebuff then jab w/ titans. i've also used demon's arch and tiamat's rebuke for a non light solution.

Probably use an insight merc if I do to help out with the mana. Will upgrade to infinity when I am rich enough. Thanks for the tips KremBanan!

Think I will just run from them crawlingdeadman, wanna do them fast n furious!

fast and furious means skip the merc and the valk.
second that.

@NASE: he's about to run cows, not Chaos Sanctuary or Baal. CoH brings nothing useful for the purpose beyond the +2skills, while 'Peace' has at least +2 to Critical Strike  That would be one of my candidates if I were after socketables, along with Spirit Shroud (CBF - in case I ditched Ravenfrost for BK), Que-Hegan's Wisdom (+3m/k), or this crazy experiment of mine:

Natalya's Shadow
Loricated Mail
Defense: 679
Durability: 36 of 36
Required Strength: 149
Required Level: 73
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: **
Fingerprint: 0xc76abbf2
+188 Defense
Poison Resist +25%
Adds 3-222 lightning damage
Poison Length Reduced by 75%
+2 to Shadow Discipline Skills (Assassin Only)
100% Chance to cast Level 47 Chain Lightning When You Die
100% Chance to cast Level 41 Nova When You Level Up
+1 to Life (Based on Character Level)
+12% to Lightning Skill Damage
-10% to Enemy Lightning Resistance
Socketed (3: 3 used)

I agree with Krembanan in most aspects, just like to add that the best possible ammy is a +2ama/10%FRW bloodcraft (preferably with other juicy mods  ). You can use any blue gloves with +3 java if you happen to find them, rather than spending hours shopping. On the other hand, if you already succumb to shopping, you go after the golden color the "of alacrity" suffix has, anyway.

Honestly, Valkyrie Wing, Titan's Revenge, plus Silkweave (0%MF case), no merc or valk are almost mandatory setup, the rest doesn't matter all that much.

Re: Javazon for cows

Hehe thanks guys! I have pretty much followed this thread as a guide, albeit using shako and enigma because I don't have valk wing and I need the str bonus. Yet to spend any stat points into str and dex although I have saved 100 for it. I am also using a torch and finding that it will only drop games if I enter 8 players games.

Only question now is whether I need the d/e/a passive skills. Should I put 1 pt into each or do I not need them at all?

Also after killing a herd of cows, there will be a few left stranded. Do u spend time finishing them off one by one or do u just move on to the next bunch for better speed and efficiency?

Provided you play a pure lightning javazon, you can easily finish the stranglers with CS, but it's not even necessary, because they often join up with the next pack.

As for the D/A/E, you don't really need any of them for cows, though I don't see much good in skipping Dodge. Avoid is the most troublesome of these skills, and you might be better off without it. I made some remarks concerning Baal-running with(out) Avoid here.

Re: Javazon for cows

If you have done cow runs now without DEA and without any trouble, why put points in there now?

Re: Javazon for cows

Haha true that but I would never know if it would be easier with DEA as well.

I do use CS for the stranglers but it does slow down the run a bit.

I guess I will just put 1 point into dodge? Though most cows have no chance against the fury to hit me while I'm standing and throwing.

Re: Javazon for cows

it'd be hard for me to sleep at night knowing one of my zon's was never going to benefit from D/A/E :) If you're rich enough to afford griffon's, it would make a significant difference

As stated above, if you just run cows, Dodge is not needed, and you will be better off putting that point into a lightning synergy (more damage). Once you start running Baal, it's imo very recommended to have 1pt in Dodge (mostly because of explosions..) - which could be unpleasant to discover at say fresh clvl94 with no skill-points left..

Re: Javazon for cows

dude you should just make a Fishyzon. I run cows and Baals without a merc with the quickness. but if your just making cows just stick with +mana per kill items, some + skill items, a lil bit of MF if you wish. some + mana items such as frostburns/silkweaves. but the must items i would say is titans of course, Stormshield B/C the 35DR and super block really help when you get caught in a sticking situation while herding a million cows up. as for armor i would suggest an enigma, you get +skills,+MF, and the teleport would help out in sticky situations also.
but yeah as for the strander just CS them. round up as many as you can and LF. they drop like flies anyways. so just focus on efficiency. for lightning immunes, I use FA since i am a pure CS/LF/CA/FA +5 pierce +1decoy build. Thanks to Fishy =D
if you have any questions let me know man.
