I never at one time said that multishot was a bad skill. In fact, I like Multishot. It IS a good skill. Multi=Strafe in my opinion... I dont think you listened completely. You DON'T need uber equipment to kill as a Strafazon. If you do, I guess it reflects your overall skill in the game.

When I look at it as a whole, I think that people don't understand the biggest difference: control between the two skills. With Multishot/GA, you have the ability to completely control any situation due to you get to aim where you want, hit what you want ect. Strafe, however, can get a little physcotic. You can't control at which enemies you strike, where your arrows are aimed, and of course you're stuck in the dreaded Strafe lock. Strafe has a lot less range too. But, it also has more damage. Multishot has range but is weaker. I think it just all comes down to preference in the end.

well said. Although myself, i prefer multi///ga, most players, and begginers will probably prefer strafe becuase its a hold mouse down and kill kind of skill. Multi shot is more interactive and takes some skill to use (deciding on how big you want the arc of arrows to be)

Strafe is more or less using strong posistions. But yes, I agree that Strafazon builds are easier to make and use then Multishot.

And I have to ask myself, why haven't I done this before? The points I used to waste into vit in my past strafers and bowers seems to make little difference, because this zon seems to survive as equally well as those others. And that damange, oh man... I could toot my own whistle, but I think I'll let the screenshot speak for itself.

This is all after Might and Demon Limb Enchant of course. And now I actually kill stuff in Hell Baal games rather than just pin them to the walls.

When I first started this build someone told me to trade my CoH away for a Fortitude. I'm glad I did. This thing makes all of the difference in the world. In fact, its the only remarkable piece of equipment I have. The rest of the equipment is standard issue stuff: Shealed WF, LoH, 15% IAS Andy's, Cat's Eye, 2x Ravens, Nos Coil, and Travs. And to think, there was a Faithzon I was Baaling with yesterday that was bragging about their 3K Multi...

So, lesson learned. Vitality is over-rated... That is if you don't play Hardcore. And now, thanks to that bragging Faithzon, I think I'll make a multizon using the same equipment setup I have above. I messed around with the lvl 4 Multi my Dex Strafer has and it was in the mid 4K damage range, so it should be quite powerful. And I haven't had a Multizon since .09, so it'll be just like old times... :drink:
Equip your merc with a Pride runeword too! You will get even more damage! :D

Multishot backup skill

Not getting into the "which is better" discussion here, but I'm making a MS zon just for the fun of it (all those arrows!) and I was wondering what should be the backup skill for it. I've seen mentions of GA and MA. Which is better?

I plan to max LFury, 15 MS (23 with skills for max of 24 arrows), valk and etc so I can pick one more skill to push up to deal with single monsters I guess. Please tell me which is better, GA or MA.

Oh, also, I've seen people post the IAS breakpoints for strafe using Faith, but can someone tell me the breakpoints for multi using faith? I would be using the faith myself, using an Act 2 merc of some kind.

Thanks!

if you are already making a hybrid with Max Lightning Fury...you might as well go with charged strike to kill single targets.

i dont think you will want a lvl 23 multishot. It costs a lot of mana and ~12-15 arrows is more than enough. Of course 24 arrows > all :p (in visual effects)

Yeah I might tune that down.

To other poster, I dont want charged strike cuz that means I will be within melee distance. I want to stay far away :)
