    I already started to think about Silence/Passion Rogue Merc. Spreading the Blind targets around nicely.. :)

    Pretty sure she will want Infinity Merc though.. So, the plan is to use Gloom and Darksight Helm on A2 Merc (ctc Dim Vision).

    "To infinity, and beyond!" lets the runeword still work in the theme :D

    -ELR should work fine on both weapons afaik.

    Galaxia (lvl 48): A2 Nightmare
    She was a bit slow until hitting ~lvl 30. Getting Energy Shield and Light Mastery, equipping 'Spirit' Sword, and putting 'Insight' on the Merc certainly boosted the recklessness/kill speed. WARPspear +1 point. ;)

    I really want this gold-spacewoman look. But, I'm not really happy with the options. Will probably go with Skulder's/Arkaine's for the +skills and damage reduction.

    I didn't really notice until I got into the Kurast Temples.. Her +5 Light radius ammy (for buffing ES), left her with a net +3 radius (-2 Umbral Disk).

    When I swap out the Powered Ammy (+5) for the Crescent Moon (-2), it gets considerably darker.

    Then, I thought .. Hmm.. My merc is wearing Darksight Helm and Gloom.. Don't they have minus Light Radius? Here she is with Darksight (-4) for a net radius of -8.

    And.. with 'Gloom' (-3) for a net -11 Light Radius! Fit's the darkness of space theme quite nicely. :D

    Edit: She will be 'upgrading' to Gloom's Trap (-3) and possibly Goblin Toe (-1) shortly. :p

    Hit Blinds Target/Dim Vision effects:
    I didn't realize DV gets cast ON enemy. So, ranged monsters like Gloams get blinded from afar. ;)

    Edit: I have looked everywhere in my stashes, and I only have an eth Glooms Trap? Anybody have one FT?

    How dark did it get?
    Started running into LIs, so Galaxia had to wield the sword.

    I was sticking to the self-imposed rule that Galaxia could only use Nova if her "Energy Field" was activated (Cyclone Armor). This was tedious (difficult to re-activate CA) in A4 and I decided would be unbearable through Hell. So, I abandoned the rule halfway through A5.

    WSK had some blackout conditions as well, but there were torches around that would light up part of the screen.

    Haha. Well, they dont light up my life bulb.. but, they dont deplete it either! :cool:

    Galaxia has been using Nova (and even Amp) as her light source. Unfortunately, this is as far as Nova reaches until it also disappears into the void.. :confused:

    @jonnyphive its like night and day.. :p

    Imagine playing with your eyes closed. Thats basically the same. She walks/Tele around hoping to get hit. Then start nova.. I just stare at minimap all the time so I know which direction to go. :confused:

    That sounds... frustrating. But, I guess that's the price you pay for a themed build sometimes :D

    Merc is starting to die a lot. Have to tele right into the fray in order for Nova to do it's job, and he just can't deal with it. Looking forward to Mat + re-gearing her..

    Was happy to get the scroll though. Took poison resist up to unprecedented heights.

    Ancients took 4-5 attempts. Merc kept dying, which was pretty much gg with one of them being LI.

    Thoughts:
    I love the way this one came together. All of her gear was important. +4 Points for item (name) theme is decent. The "maximum" -12 LR, CtC Dim Vision, Hit blinds Target, and Cyclone Armor for (secondary) Space theme. Merc with 'Infinity' and CtC DV, CtC lightning added to the effect. Even her skills: Energy Shield + Nova were perfectly suited! :)

    She was also a lot of fun. Normal and NM were a breeze. She was basically invincible to anything but Mana burn. Once I started imposing the gear "restrictions" things got a bit tougher. Not as much +DR, Nova dmg, and FCR. Oh yea, and the playing blind factor.. :confused:

    Lots of deaths, especially for merc. But, 75% of them were still due to Mana burn. And, she was able to still kill without gear and recover corpse without much trouble. Just made play through annoying. Had to mule on about 3M in gold to keep reviving merc. She couldn't help him much. Just walk/tele blindly until you run into a pack of monsters. He ended up taking it on the nose quite often.

    Can't wait to re-gear her and see what ES + Nova can really do! ;)

    6/5 Points for item + space theme, 3.5/5 for build.
