Item Finder Necro

Hi Fellow Gamers -
I recently started playing D2E again after a break, and found 2 IK armours a couple of weeks after I started from scratch! This is a feat I have not achieved in 2 years of gameplay earlier. Not to mention a few hellspayers, Griswold's corona, Sazabi's sword, Gargoyle's Bite etc.
I used a summoning necromancer to accomplish this and I've written about the general strategy on my blog - http://gamersgraveyard.************/
The build is very flexible and does not need any good items to succeed. You'll get all you need for the build, from regular gameplay even without any twinking items.
Hope you find the post useful...

Welcome Newcomer to The Darkness. Grab a brew :drink: and feel free to raise some corpses.

It is a rather standard build. Why did you max out Summon resist and Revive?

addendum

I forgot to mention - I found most of my items from Pindle. Running Pindle proved to be a problem for my barb build post 1.10 (with 2 doombringers/2 alibabas/1 doom+3 p Diamond Moser's Circle, Tal's Armour, p Topaz Shako, high mf rare rings and ammy, WTs, goldwrap and chance guards). He was still dying too quickly. That's when I stumbled on to this summoner build... it rocks for all super unique and area runs... my necro only ever dies due to lag or running into a pack of monsters by mistake :)
My blog post lists out the basic aspects of the build and some helpful tips.

This necro build will rely on his skellies and revives to keep him alive - and on amp damage/corpse explosion to wreck havoc. Move revives = more damage (with max skeleton mastery). Though revives are not useful for Pindle runs, I found that they can help you in large open areas. Summon resist was one of the last skills I recommend maxing - put your spare points in here (because diminishing returns). It might be worthwhile to put in one point into life tap and lower resist (including the pre-requisites)... though you don't need these curses to make this build rock. They can be helpful curses.

Most people favor letting both those skills stay at 1 point and letting +skills pick them up. A full complement of Revives is hard to keep around and Summon Resist has such severe diminishing returns that it just isn’t funny. I thought you might have a special reason to max those.

Some of my recent finds posted on my blog

http://gamersgraveyard.************/

Had a terrible terrible accident with Ormus's robes. I found one with 15/15/13 and +3 to teleport. Lost it when my game application hangs on me with the robes on the ground and 15 seconds into the game :(
Will be more careful next time!

Wow, 5 posts in a row. lol

Summons are incredible item finders, if you ever get enough to get an enigma, you will blaze through the game.

Jah and Ber... seems a long way off at the moment. I am not a proponent of trading (for me, it takes the away the fun of playing the game!)... therefore I dont think I'll be having an enigma anytime soon.

I haven't had much luck this time around with runes. My best drops were a couple of Ko's.
Even last time around, my best drop by far was a Lo rune... and then directly an Ist. Runes are hard to come by.

Latest finds posted (found Windhammer and Stormspire)

I am wondering, in your opinion, how likely would you say that the Countess on Hell difficulty will drop a Ber rune, or runes of that similar rarity?

I read on some thread that the countess has a special rune drop, wherein she always drops a rune... and that one can go as high as an Ist (I think). She can drop higher runes, but has same chances (almost none) as any other super unique monster, of doing so. I also read that the highest rune she can drop is Lo.
Check out other forum threads for more info.

Her chance for BER is exactly 0, since LO is the highest she can drop.

I don't remember where the limit for her special rune drop is, though --- it's considerably lower than LO.
