It really seems like that clvl affects hell forge drops !

Hi all,

Recently, I made 2 EAST SC L sorcs. They were both lvled up to clvl 90. Probably a month ago, I did the first hell forge: I got an ist.

Right now, I reached lvl 90 with my new sorc and did hell forge.

I got ist again!!!

I didn't repair the hammer in the 2 cases.

Is this a freaking incredible luck or I discovered something ?

my 4 last hell hf's have given me 4 ist's, only one of those guys was +85, while others were lower than 10.
It's luck I think

Like ^he said, you're going to need at least 268 samples to get a 90% confident result.

haha.....first time I have find STAT class to be somewhat useful lol.....But in this case I believe a non-parametric test must be used since the SD isn't the same? :D

...or find the algorithm the game uses to generate hellforge drops.

Screw you and your statistics omgwtfbbqpwned.

Quite clearly repeating something once is a statistically significant sample. I will now proceed to level all of my characters to 90 before the hell forge to ensure I am swimming in ISTs... it's gauranteed not to fail... I can't loose.... well maybe not....

BTW if you had repaired the hammer you would have got two GULs of course. (WTF does repairing the hammer have to do with anything?)

i had about twenty-something hell-hellforges this ladder. 6 or 7 with regular chars, the others with mules (lvl 5 and below). i got a gul, mal and ist from the regular chars (the rest were at the lower end). i got 6 ist and rest lower end runes from the mules. what does this tell us?

1. i got quite lucky so far ;) even though i never repaired the hammer and i only had a full moon on two of those hf.
2. char level doesnt have any obvious relation to result (at least not with such a low number of tries).
3. taken the other results here into consideration, there maybe an "ist-glitch" for hf, as they seem to drop the most.
4. my mules were all barbs or druids, maybe they get more likely an ist.
5. or, we should wait until someone got a better sample of tests (maybe 11k with each low level mules and lvl 90+ chars and once for each char-class), to draw any conclusion beside the obvious (even 1/11 chance for any rune between hel and gul)

Naaah, I take the OPs statistics as valid.

Thus if you have time to hit the soulstone 4 times with the hammer before it breaks, you will get a Jah each time. I have done this myself a number of times. But you need at least 80ias off-hand to reach fastest breakpoint with that big hammer :azn:.

I did yesterday hellforge with a 60 lvl half naked paladin. It is the noobest char I've ever had. It droped Gul.

Please just stop geting paranoid about hellforge ... it's random nomatter what.

Note gem stats. It doesn't work without it :p

Of course it's all so obvious now!

Can't believe I missed that, must remember to repair my hell forge hammers too!
i try repaired and, still get me Um only ?????

That's like complaining about rolling a 4 with a die, even though you washed your hands. :rolleyes:

Um is rather OK. It's more or less the average value of a hell HF rune.

Nothing affects HF rune drops.
