Against really high def smiters i use hsarus +ravens+highlords , i might enchant too if needed. the result is about 20k ar and a dead smiter.For smiters only sorce of dr can be coa+enigma, if you dont have casters in the game try fortitude or duress, i personally prefer duress it really is awesome armor with much better performance than fortitude imo.
as for antichars i really have very little practice against bone necro and windy so theose 2 are the ones that can beat me more than anything else.
for super def sorc use widowmaker .
I can say i do really well against any type of hammerdin ,as im getting alot of practice lately.

Pure smiters aren't that tough, only a few have the skill to really engage a barb. I can guess you are on ladder, where AR really is an issue, at least it was for me. Further V/Ts should be evil on Ladder, since your stacking capabilities straight up sucks, and having good ar while stacking is super tough.

Continues Whirls and manaspam works for me.

When smiters charge, should you ww straight away from them or sort of zig zag like i see Mcm doing? It seems when I zigzag I get hit more often than I'd like

Both me and Jake are ladder, but I guess our ar is ok (at least similar to that of nl barbs meaning about 9k in pub setup). I am quite sure Jake is talking about those few smiters that cause problems :smiley: Vts are quite evil and stack is an issue but I can live with that...for a short while at least :laugh:

well im ladder too my stack atm is 130 , im still working on getting 2 more 20/11 but they are very hard to find, my ar is ~10k with ravens and highlord,
lately i started using hsarus +wisp instead of tgods and i get like 13k ar which is good enough in most cases.
as for dueling smiters, the ones that shift smite triangual clips work fine,
tha ones that charge you can ww away or at angles,
the ones that walk are harder because they keep the max block
hardest ones are the tele smiters those , i find easier to deal with when leaping alot ,so when they tele on top of you they get knocked back and cant hit you ez, then fast ww away or at an angle

yeah any type of v/t will be a struggle i always used to lose to these on ladder with bva cuz i simply could not stack properly.

i have never experimented with the hsarus setup due to lack of stash space etc.

either way works if a charger charges at you but i find zig zag works a bit more efficiently.

And smiter gear does differ some more actually cuz a smiter is able to wear bugtal and bb together which will give u 45% dr just those 2 items together as bb has 20% and bt has 25% leaving head gear quite a open spot, i.e no need for a ber ber coa but instead can use a shako.

Risky/bad WWs, no widow, laggy game but that smiter isn't very good so it didn't matter. w/ barb shout his def was 40k, so that should give you a decent idea how much a barb w/ high AR (27k+) can hit that kind of def + max block.

the smiter in that video was not dueling properly. he was actually following the ww'ing barb, which is a big no no. good smiters will tele in your path and smite you, which you really cant avoid. from the smiter's perspective, a challenging barb would be a barb who uses slow target + doom.

a slow smiter will not be able to get into position, and the barb's superior range will defeat the smiter.

Versus pure smiters, barbs on EUSCNL can obtain, slows target by 35% and knockback, fortitude and still have 20% pdr. I rarely use this setup, unless the smiter I am duelling likes to slow and use HF too... Doom is not included.

it really depends on how long of ww the barb does. it takes practice but at end one can do pretty short ww's that let him change path really at any time he wants

It is possible, good smiters are preety good with that technique
