    ISO Fishy gear

I'm looking for items to build up my first chars, a pair of mfers.

I've found the odd rune and have some pgems. Please let me know if you're selling any of these - Low-end stats are ok.

    FT
    pgems, pammys, JJs.
    0os phase blade
    Griswold's Heart

-- EDIT: also FT, just found a 4os Col Vouge with 7%extra damage
+3 Pal Def Aura, 9%mf ammy.

No longer needing low nec torch. (Thanks senorxdragon.) :)

    ISO
Vamp Gaze, Tal's Mask or Andy's Visage
    Leviathan or Arkaine's Valour
    Homunculus
    Shako
Eth Bonehew / Obediance (or a 5os Giant Thresher/Great poleaxe for it)

Am also looking for nec summon GC.

I'm pretty sure I have a Tal's mask you can have for a couple pgems...I won't be on until after 10 tonight, though. Whisp *jdoryson if you don't find one before then.

Just to let you know, you really shouldn't waste any money on Summon GCs because your skells wont be doing anything but meat shielding until you get a few auras going. Basically wait until your merc drops one monster and CE everything while you skells protect you. Once you have Beast and Pride then you can worry about maxing your skell army.

    @Kylome: Thanks for the advice!
I'd looked at the runes in both of those RWs and figured I wasn't likely to be able to afford either in the next 3 lifetimes, so had written them off mentally. :scratchchin:
Having said that, a recent sale showed me that nec GCs are more expensive than I'd realised, too...

I disagree. Obtaining a few HRs is not very difficult. Follow a bot during the day and pick up anything superior or ethereal that might be of value (AP/DS/Elite Poles). You can even snag some good items sometimes too if the bot is busy killing the last enemy on screen. Not to mention Pgems and Runes seem to be worth more and more as time goes on so selling off 20 of one type here and there can net you a mid rune or two.

Basically to beef out your Fishymancer you want Enigma first and then maybe Beast since it is cheaper and you can actually help out in killing bosses with the CB. Pride is not a must have for the build, just a component that I think fits well. If you really like playing the Fishymancer you might as well put all your 'money' into getting the best gear.

    Good luck.

    Re: ISO Fishy gear

I'm not saying you're wrong. It's just that I've mostly played offline, where Sol was a "high rune". So when I looked at Beast, saw it need a Ber, well - I didn't think it worth considering.
I understand that runes are more accessible online - just hadn't realised how much more accessible.
Following a bot sounds good - though at present I'm getting owned at the very start of A5, so the Ancients - and thus bot runs - are a little out of range for the moment. (Instead, I've dropped back to running the Pits to try to get some trade-bait.)

If you're around tomorrow I could rush you through act 5 to follow bots. If we're not on at the same time, I'm sure someone else from the forums wouldn't mind helping, or there's always Chaos runs.

That'd be wonderful - would certainly appreciate it.
I'm in Sweden, so I think I'm about 8 hours ahead of USWest server time (GMT+1).

Meantime, I'll look out for a chaos bot - good advice, thank you.

I've got a question ... how do you know which games are bots?

It usually only takes one run with a Baaler to know if it is a person or a robot.

    Re: ISO Fishy gear

Almost any Chaos or Baal run could be hosted by a live human.... anything is possible. Even when I host some runs to help lvl a friend, I will use a numbering system and might repeat a phrase quickly like "tp up".

But actual Bot runs are fairly obvious, especially the longer you follow the run. They of course could potentially be any character, but are occasionally sorcs and almost always Paladins. They wear Enigma to teleport, they make it to Throne room in almost impossible record time, and often do weird things like visit a named unique mob and then an NPC in specific order (I assume this is for gold/potions and then tp scrolls to keep the bot running properly). These events will happen every run, every time, and you will notice the bot teleporting around in the Throne Room in a square pattern clearing out the initial mobs.

And of course.... sometimes it's not even in dispute. Like the runs I've seen lately where the bot says "Beware on wave 3, this bot is set to avoid Hydras and Bremm's sparks" =p
I guess coming right out and saying it is in fact a bot, makes it a little obvious.
