Is this idea do able ?

Ok iam fed up with damn weak *** sorc blowing up bcuz of dolls or what ever lurks out there with the potention of blowing up, or get stuck in lagg spike and die, so iam thinking of turning my lvl 50 ish izeal/fana pally into high lvl meph runner.

my question is, is this doable

and is there any weappon that has like static charges, i know of the sheaffer, since melee take long time killing bosses, but the fana makes this little guy fast

any comments plz

Stormlash would be your best weapon. It's a scourge so it's fast, it has tons of crushing blow, plus it casts static. Good luck getting one though.

'Crescent Moon' runeword also casts Static, but the physical damage is kinda weak... this weapon is more suited to a Tesladin (Holy Shock + Zeal) than a Fanatic Zealot.

Zealots actually do work alright for Meph running, as you can throw on Sanctuary on the way down to knock back Undead monsters. Make sure you carry something with charges of Life Tap on weapon switch (usually a wand), that way you and your Merc will have no trouble while taking down Meph.

I really don't see it working out any better than a Sorc though. You just need to be a little more cautious when teleporting, take your Merc's weapon off through Durance 2, and save/exit at the first hint of lag.

I dont think Static is what you really want, even if you fully static its only half the life of the target. CB andDS are the key to quick kills of bosses and along with that you need good AR or ITD attack like Smite.

I see you are trying to use what you have by using your Pally so making a new guy isnt in your plan.

Now I am not sure how effective this would be in practice, but lvl 1 Smite is still ITD, and uses crushing blow mods so in theory (unless somoene shoots me down) you could get to Meph or any boss, Smite him to probably 1/8 life or so and finish him off with your weapon damage. This "should give you a faster kill.

Smiters smoke DC........

ok good tips, what about that ele attack ?

ive maxed fana, like 14 into shield thingy, 1 to conv 1 to res aura, and 1 to smite you say ?

now what about ideal gear, i know shako etc, but iam poor, and i hate it, so any reasonable suggestions ?

Shako? Screw Shako, its a caster item IMO

Go for Gullieums Face, Orphans Set Helm, it has CB and DS and would be enuff to get a good start. If you can add Goreriders it would be nice, or even Goblin Toes. You are going to need a darn good resists shield to be able to add MF to the build and I think anything less than Max resisits doing this will mean a rebuild very soon.

Your biggest challenge is simply getting to Meph. I guess a teleport ammy would be a very good thing to have especially to simply avoid the council.


Now Siggik, This will work, but its not going to be fast, and it will be fairly trecherous since you will have to wolk/run all the way. There are better ways to do this and I really think you should consider a new build for this, new sorc, and let this Pally run in NM for Meph and build your sorc. I jsut see a death coming fast.

I suppose it goes without saying (allthough I'll say it anyway :surprise: )....

Pump your VIT, not your NRG.
Use ES
Get TK up there for the ES Synergy.
Drink Mana Pots if your cube starts to go down while teleporting.
