Is this accurate?

According to the weapon speed calculator:
http://diablo3.ingame.de/tips/calcs/weaponspeed.php?lang=english

A Barbarian wielding an Ogre Maul needs only 69% increased attack speed to reach Whirlwind's max speed (4 frames per attack).

Is this accurate? I noticed that Fanaticism aura doesn't help Whirlwind speed at all on this calculator as a Barbarian with level 20 Fanaticism still needs 69% increased attack speed to hit the last break-point for Whirlwind.

Is this a bug? I thought Fanaticism was supposed to increase your attack speed by a ton?

Not a bug in the speed calc.
Whirlwind only takes into account on-weapon IAS. Fanaticism is counted as off-weapon IAS so it doesn't help reach WW breakpoints.

IAS acts differently depending on what source it comes from. There are 4 factors affecting your attack speed:

Weapon Speed
On weapon IAS (Eg: Socketing a shael in your weapon, or IAS from magic/runewords etc)
Off Weapon IAS (IAS on gloves, armor etc, IAS jewels not in your weapon
Skill IAS (E.g. Fanaticism)

Most attacks use a combination of all four, combining in an equation I can't remember. But WW only uses the first two.

(A weapon might have different weapon speeds for different character classes)

IIRC another "odd" one is Charge, which doesn't use any IAS for it's attack speed.
