Is there ANY way to save an eth item?

I've got a pair of unique eth boots, is there ANY way to save them?

Only have 2 durability left and dont want to see em go, can they be saved or do i just enjoy them while they last?

Simple yes (with very basic instructions) or no would be great.

I know this has probably been asked before, but type eth into the search and you get pretty much the whole post history. Any help would be great.

    Thanks

No. My condolences for your boots.

Use them until they lost all durability, then throw them away.

You cannot repair ethereal items (including the socket recipe).
    You cannot socket boots.
    Mercs cannot wear boots.
Equipment loses durability in PvP as well.

However, many people believe that equipoment won't lose durability in PvP, so you can try to sell them. As long as nobody asks, you don't have to tell, but I for myself think it's not honest not to tell it.

I've been working on a graveyard of broken eth items. Boots and gloves mostly (i don't seem to find many eth belts). It's sad seeing them all sitting there without their mods...but there are just some things that can't be thrown away like my fhr/frw triple resist boots with mf. Why did you spawn ethereal?!:hanky:

Upgrading does weird stuff to durability. I once upgraded eth 1/12 durability frostburns, and it ended up having 13/24 durability. That just postponed the inevitable, tho.

i have a mule named broken-something(cant remember exact) and he keeps al eth items with 1 durabilty left that are unusable( not good on mercs as well). Sometimes i just look at the items and get very mad that there is a thing called ethereal :( (except with my almost perf bonehew )

Upgrading randomizes the durability like the item was just dropping. Also, for ethereal armor, I believe it also forgets to decrease max durability penalty for eth items (like it forgets to give the base def a 50% bonus).

I am not sure about that, but I heard that personalizing an item restores durability. (I Don't know if it works for eth items too)
