Sure was for me tonight!! I did about 5 NM Duriel and Meph runs, at 147% mf with my FO/CL sorcy, both at p8. And netted:

Some awesome Unique's here that i've NEVER EVER seen before and the mods were just liek whoa!! Stealskull, after much debate (it's 35% mf, 280 def), replaced my 96 def Lore (+1 skills)... I wasn't sure whether I should sacrifice my +1 skills for better def and 35% more mf, but I figure with that much more MF, maybe I can eventually get a SoJ or something to make up that lost skill point. So now my sorcy is at a whopping 182% mf...

And that made a dramatic improvement in my finds, as you can tell from the next 4 uni's. Duriel's Shell replaced my aging Goldskin (which I was actually going to upgrade, but was slowly adding to my str so i could wear the upgraded version (which is str 140 req)). I don't mind so much now.

Undead Crown will obviously go to a future Necro I may or may not ever make, but a welcome addition to my self-found grail.

Twitch, good low level armor. And that last one, Skin of the Flayed One? Man wtf... It seems like it -might- have a use, but then again it's surpassed by so many others. I'm not sure what use it would have other than possible trade or just collection.


But I just wanted to share that. The WF was good to me tonight, hasn't been too good to me last couple of nights...

Oooh and I found an Arcannas' Helm (forget name) that I've been looking for!! Turns out that in terms of ease to get to, Normal Duriel has the best chance of dropping Arcanna's Helm and Ammy, along with NM Meph. NM Duriel also has a fairly decent chance (Better than NM meph even, IIRC). So I just decided to run those two for a while.

I'm also looking for a Lem room so I can make a future Wealth armor for more MF. Turns out Lem's drop best from Apparition's in NM, which lo and behold on my particular seed are chock full on the way to Duriel. So I've got a nice little run going. No Lem yet, but working on it and praying!!

That's it... enough of my ranting and raving... I was just so happy!

Skin of the Flayed One is a pretty sweet armor for a mercenary . . . life leech is always nice, and if you put that life regen on a barb merc from Act 5 he'll get healthy at a positively silly rate.

The first time you find a Stealskull is always a moment to cherish. It's a shame the dual leech is going to waste on your sorc. If you have a melee merc, it may be best on them. If you want that extra MF just let them get the killing blow. Duriel's Shell has some excellent resists, making it a great NM find.
Good luck with that Lem rune. When I first started getting into MF runs I made myself some Wealth mageplate which I still have and occassionally use on my sorc when I run NM. You'll probably find the +skills and res you can get from other armor will be vital in Hell, so you may benefit from working on that Lem rune early so you can get the most use out of your Wealth.

my light mana pot from hell baal was half as likely to drop as tyrael's might from the same MF and settings.

My WF seems to be in finding charms these days...3 skillers, 2 7% dual mod MF charms (with useful other mods). I'm questing these days so what falls falls...I have 2 chars close to Pat status. 1 left for Hellforge...

I'm a heavy believer in Skin of the Flayed One Almost all of my lower level melee characters use it from time to time. It has decent defense, and the leech is very helpful if I happen to have issues finding good leech gear.

i had the WF for a while... 4X TC87 set/unique in three days from Pindle. i guess it must have moved from me to Kremtok and then over to Naraka. now i only have one thing to say... GIVE IT BACK!!!!

The WF is always with me and I hope it will never leave but I am not stingy so may the WF be also with you all.

Btw, Naraka I would not recommend to search for runes until you have a high specialised character to do this in hell. You will find runes while simply playing.

and if you want a Lem ASAP, run the Countess until you can cube one

Update: I just realized something. I know why I have suddenly good WF. I better do all my MF runs TODAY... because today I hit the quarter century mark... I hate getting old. 8(

nik: well i'm not actively searching for Lem, I just find it highly coincidental and favorable to me that the best chance in NM for a Lem comes from mobs along a path to NM Duriel..... so I just cross my fingers and pray.

Yeah, eventually when I get more decent gear the Stealskull will migrate over to another melee char or the merc... perhaps whenever I find that perfect Shako or something

It's never with me, here are some stuff I've been getting lately: yellow slayer guard from baal, yellow lacquered plate from pit, yellow glorious axe from pit, yellow CB from pit, and countless other non gold/green TC 87 items. :grrr:

The WF is never with me. The last time I found something remotely good was last night, and it was a 3 socketed runemaster, and I dont even remember the last time I found something good before that. I do meph runs, and get nothing. I do pit runs, and do nothing. I have good items, but I cant find them. They come from other people

Hmm.. I thought that "W" took the WF with him almost a year ago. He only gives it out to the ladies now, so us guys are at the merci of cruel hard luck.

I've had no WF, luck, or anything else for some time now. I'm hoping things will change now that I've finally figured out how to get a zealot to safely do WSK and Baal runs.

I think the WF MUST have been with me from Saturday to Monday, in that time span I found a Doombringer, Stormshield, Shako, Ist rune, and probably other stuff that I'm forgetting at the moment. All this with no more than 200% MF!
