Is Stone armor good??

Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum so this is my 1st post here.
I got a 4 socket 492 def Balrog skin (str req 165), Um rune, Lum rune and Shael rune. I can easily get the Pul rune for somethings on my mule but since i don't see bunch of them on the realm, I asked to myself if it was a good idea or not. So what u think about that, should i make Stone ( will be my 1st 1.10 runeword ) or should i keep my stuff for something else ???

I'm currently looking up what a stone armour is like :lol:

edit: well, for a phys damage char, it doesn't look that great compared to lionheart. For a caster it's pretty useless I guess.

For a melee pally, barbarian, melee druid yes the high defense and hit recovery make it a nice armor. But for a ranged character like zons, lionheart or twitch or chains of honor is far better and for casters they are more obsessed with +skills and fast cast.

Check out Gloom runeword

I made a Gloom for my merc out of an ethereal Balrog skin. 2500defence and the dim vision when struck goes off every battle. I like the 45 resistall on Gloom better than the much lower resistall on Stone. And thre runes are about the some iirc.

I think the main reason to use stone is for the clay golem as an extra tank.

I was thinking i would use stone/carrion wind/ wisp proj/etc.. and make kind of a summoner trapper. I'd max out light traps and then have shadow master, merc, golem, wisps, etc.. running around as tanks.
