Is Jamella slow for everyone?

I'm playing in the Gambler's Delight Tournament, so frequesntly visiting all the gambling vendors in each act. I've noticed something curious:

When using Jamella to gamble in Act 4, there is about two seconds lag between the time I select "gamble" from her menu and the time items actually show up on the screen. No other NPC has this lag, and she herself doesn't have it for the normally purchased items. It can become annoying when trying to "speed gamble".

Have others experienced this, or is it just me? (I am playing 1.10 vanilla, on a Mac.) Does anyone know what causes it?

It´s always like this for me, and it always has been. I have no idea what causes it. One of the great D2 mysteries.

It is so for me too in spite of PIV-2400 with 1024 RAM. Also the game tends to work very slooooooow sometimes when I visit Shenk or Mephisto. In old patches Lister appearance causes my comp to be slow too.

I can somewhat understand why Shenk and Mephisto are slow, depending on how the graphics etc. are calculated and executed. But you'd think Jamella would use the same code subroutines that Anya and the others use. Weird. At least I know it isn't just me.
