Is it worth it to run high torment levels? Do you notice a difference?

As discussed in several other threads, the consensus seems to be this:

1) If you only care about loot, speed farm the level where you can one-shot mobs (Normal/Hard for many people)

2) If you want XP, try to play at a level where you can farm at a reasonable speed. At Torment 1 you will level very fast, if you have the gear for normal farming (T1 typically requires about 100k DPS)

The thing about the first point is that there is a slight increase in drop quality in Torment, which increases with increased T-level. But the mob HP will offset this with too much for it to be efficient.

There are things that only drop in Torment. Each class has sets that only drop in Torment, as well as legendaries that only drop in Torment. Personally I think it's worth it if you can farm it. I'll put an amethyst in my helm instead of a ruby if needed to be able to farm Torment.

Yes, torment-only drops are lvl70+ only

T1 is still worth it because it's trivial to make it the new Normal. Beyond that though? It will be about a year before the higher difficulties are worth playing in.

Not to be elitest, but Tor1 is ROFLstomp easy with even a couple of decent pieces of gear. If that is all it will take to get a chance at unique items come RoS then that is where you should be farming.
