is experience bar like this @ 99 ?!

hullo there!~

was wondering if anyone in the statistics forum can help answer this pls.

i never really noticed before but on the experience bar (on main in-game screen) of a 99 character, it still displays :-

"xxx/3,837,739,017" (minus the commas)

3,837,739,017 must be level 100 but of course we all know 99 is the max. what i'm asking is, although INSIDE my char sheet it says "Next Level = 0", shouldn't my external exp bar show "xxx/0" ?

Is this normal? can another legit 99 pls. check and let me know?

why i ask is cos i haven't played d2 for a few years now hehe, but with the hype of d3 coming out, i recently took out my old dusty diablo 2 files to play a bit; some of those files/sources i pulled out haven't been touched for years, so i have posted this thread cos i am worried my characters might have suffered some data corruption. some old files even stored on 1.44 floppy lol

further info in case u need: my 99 character in question was once (long time ago) d2 classic character but not 99 yet, some lower patch maybe 1.04 i dunno. then few years back converted to d2x, not sure which ver but i think over 1.07 and reached 99 there. currently, at the time of this post i have patched to 1.12a, but still notice that on main screen exp bar shows "xxx/3,837,739,017"

thx in advance. sorry i know is pretty stupid topic but i just wanna know if my d2 files r still ok... so i come to statistics forum for help ... :3

I've noticed that too, back in 1.09 though.
Back then you didn't gain any experience after 99, not in either of the exp-meters and I doubt that has changed in the more recent patches.
If it was possible to level further in 1.1+, it would be a well-known fact by now and some people would most likely be there already.

no no i'm not questioning whether i can level anymore or not,; cos in my char screen says next level 0 anyways, that confirms it.

i'm specifically asking for what ur exp bar on main ingame screen is DEPICTED AS, for your 99 character :-

1. xxx/0 or
2. xxx/3837739017

i'm wondering if my open save files r still working as they should, in 1.12a. they may run, but i'm very particular about this sort of thing.

I checked 5 lvl 99 chars and they all display as 3,520,485,254/3,837,739,017 on the xp bar and next level on the char information shows 0.

cool thx a lot ppl so it would appear that it's normal like this @ 99 & nothing wrong with my files. i cannot compare myself since i only have 1 @ 99 and that's only cos it's from old classic days when it was easy to grind
