Is anybody else really depressed about Bow Zons?

Is it me or are zons the must bugged class in the inter game?

After reading and trying some of my own tests on Strafe I'm now depressed. Not to mention I find that auto miss from dodge in strafe exists as well. Since I can't hit blow dart or quill rats to save my life. Now I know why everybody plays Pally.

Anybody sympathize?

Kinda silly... I've never had that issue. Only prob I run into is people see me as nekid. Though punching out arrows looks kind of fun I can imagine.

people that complain about sins instead of working through their "problems" to find one of the most versatile character classes.

smart guy. replace "sins" with zons.

the bowazon (ice maiden to be exact) was my first char that didnt get mauled in hell, and was a great learning experience.

pallys are nice. but are overpowered, and get boring after a while. and if you say a hammerdin is fun, i dont get it. take 3 steps, spam hammer, take 4 steps, spam hammer, rinse and repeat.


so, care to give us details as to why you are having problems with strife?

I have Amazon auto-dodge all the time during strafe with just 1 sp and the charm-mavs adds the other 9 to it.
I have a pally lvl 19, about to turn it into a mule because i don't feel like playing more than 4 characters.
I'm not depressed my zon dies all the time on chaos sanctuary all the time, its just that its boring and want to kill something.

Oh I won't stop playing my Zon, I love them to much. It just makes me sad that all this time the x/2 stafe has been a myth; auto miss is just annoying. No I will continue to have fun with zons. Just sad.

nan, as a zon you should not get hit offen, use your decoy/ valk/ merc to stay in the front. Strafe is a good skill regardless of the x/2 myth.

The comment on the other thread is a nice one. The bug only makes your zon stronger, not weaker.

Reason: The bug always have existed, and zon is strong enough as is with the bug. Now that you know about it, you can gear your zon differently to take even better advantage.

You kinda forgot that Martial Arts Sins can't use like 75% of their skills because of Next Delay and how much it gimps their damage. Some of the traps and Druid and Sorceress skills are affected by Next Delay or other bugs. I'd say the Sin is at least as equally buggy (maybe more so) than the Amazon. But...

There are some ways to deal with these problems.

Nope.

First, you won't notice much Next Delay with Strafe if you're shooting at a pack of monsters or a spread out bunch of targets. Second, you need to control the enemies and not let them control you:

1. Valk, Mercenary, Decoy. Use these liberally forming a minion wall and distractions. A strong Valk is one of the best minions in the game and capable of tanking Hell bosses. A Merc is a dummy, but a strong dummy. He runs toward danger and can provide myriad effects and protection for you. Decoy is the rising starlet of the Zon world, and everyone wants her autograph, even the monsters. A good Bowazon knows how to keep a Valk and Decoy between her and trouble most of the time, and to run like heck when she's in the thick of it!

2. Crowd control via Holy Freeze, Decrepify, Slow, etc. The ways to manipulate enemies and pull their attention onto minions or mess up attacks is limitless.

3. Kill faster, kill better. Addition of Amp, Decrepify, high Critical Strike/Deadly Strike, Pierce, Crushing Blow, etc. Dead enemies don't fight back.

Well, actually. . .the Venom from 'Treachery' to be exact.

I mean, unless you DON'T want an extra ~300 damage per arrow, along with a massive resists (curses, elemental, and physical) boost via Fade, and a whole truck load of IAS.

Toss in some Goblin Toe boots for the crushing blow, and maybe some LoH's for the ED to demons and your Bowie just went from Zero to Hero in a big hurry. Get a wand with charges of Life Tap on the switch and tap the stronger enemies and your merc and valk will be pretty much unkillable while you run and gun from a safe distance. Common fodder are easy enough to deal with with a simple wand of Dim Vision. A Coif of Glory helm also does good to to blind almost everything you shoot. I think there's a runeword 'Nadir?' with charges of Cloak of Shadows, too. That sounds fun as well.

Yeah, Venom is the gravy on already good armor. Not only do I like "Treachery" on Bowazons, but it makes for great armor on almost any physical-damage or melee build. I take my extra ones now and stick them on my Mercs.

I think you guys missed the point of the OP. He was referring to the 2 frame bug, and how it "weakens" the zon. This is something that you cannot make up with decoy/valk/venom/etc., no matter how hard you try.

In reality, since now you know about the bug, you can gear yourself differently to take advantage of it. (like atma's + razortail on a GMB) As this bug has has existed long before its discovery, your zon is never actually weakened by the bug (she was "weak" to start with). The change of gear setup only strengthens the zon, making her more formidable than ever.

Yeah, I get pretty depressed watching "Faith" wielding Amazons clear ENTIRE SCREENS of monsters at a time.
