is Anya quest resistance bonus still bugged?

I read on this site somewhere that resistance gained from the Anya quest is lost upon the character's next death. Is this still true?

For that session - save & exit, and it's back when you restart.

And yes, the bug is still present.

So in other words, if you've got 3 of the quests under your belt and exactly maxed res, and you die, you're down to 45 res all, but after you retrieve your corpse or whatnot you start a new game and you're back at 75?

I feel really dumb because I threw away my Scrolls of Resistance believing the loss was permanent - and I didn't want LCS. I guess I need to rebuild my character from scratch.

No, you get it back when leaving the game. BTW, if you lose it, your character screen will still show the original resists while they are actually lower.

Throwing it away is two mouse clicks, using it up is just one, so you didn't even save time :azn:.

Malah should give you a new scroll if you threw it away. Just visit her in all difficulties (and have enough space in your inventory). If she doesn't do that, repeat the Anya quests. You don't have to start a new character.

I made both Normal and Nightmare games. Anya was already in town to gamble from, and Malah wouldn't give me a scroll. Are you sure I don't have to restart?

Perhaps you have read the scroll. Drop all gear and charms and check your resists. If you haven't read the scrolls, they should be 0/-30/-100% in normal/nightmare/hell mode (or more if your character is a barb with points in natural resistance, under the influence of a conviction aura, if fade is active etc).

I'm at -82 all in Hell with purely MF gear and a 11/18 torch. I haven't read any scrolls.

Hmm, did you check it in a game created by yourself ?

What does the quest window say ?

Did you enter Anya's place at the Frozen River again, even though she is in town ?

I'm pretty sure it's not possible to get quest related items (skill book, life potion, resistance scroll) when the quest is already finished. And using those items is unrelated to finishing the quest.

It's possible to get the skill book after you completed the quest if you didn't use it. I got dropped from a game where I had just killed Radament but it wouldn't let me pick up the book but I still got the quest. I had to make a new game and kill him again though. lol But I'm not entirely sure with the resistance scroll. I figured it'd work the same way as the skill book.
