ironman character?

Hey, I'm not sure if this is quite the right place to post this but its mostly lld so I assume so.

I'm involved in weekly ironman tourneys, and I'm wondering what everyone's opinions on good characters to win these are. My personal experience is that power strike amazons work well, but im also wondering how a tiger strike sin would work. Remember, this is an untwinked level 9 character, so I don't want a lld guide that needs 9max jewels.

Is this where you level to nine in hardcore and then duel against eachother?

I've watched two of these and both times a Dragon Talon assassin won.

I'd think a max block defiance smiter could work well.

I would go with the TigerStriker.
Back in 1.09 i used to do alot of ironman, its so fun!
Why dossent anyone do that anymore?

idk if ts sin is a good idea since tiger strike is interruptable and it doesnt really come into its own without some maxers though i hear if you get a decent pair of boots (chain i think) that ts/kicker is good. you cant really rely on a good defensive set up to exploit defiance, getting max block isnt always an option either, you need to find a shield that'll allow you to get it.

i've read up on good builds a bit, though i've never participated myself. i hear one of the best builds is a holy fire pally. if there's no restriction on mana pots then psychic hammer sin is good. poison java is good too if you're allowed to run a bit.

where are they held? i've been wanting to get some experience w/ ironmans.

its held on jsp, although you need the currency used there to participate since an entry fee is required(and payed to the winner)

ah, i stay away from dueling with a-holes. so i guess that would exclude me from dueling with 95% of jspers.

Imo Holy Fire is the best. Most likely Sacrifice + Holy Fire but I'm not sure.

Nah, I'm doing a defiance smiter and I'll just pick up a socketed shield and nab some ruby drops.

Most places holy fire are banned in iron man.
If someone could set something up, i would be more than happy to join

We could allso play on both east/west/europe as you would allways make a new char anyway.
