    Inventory Loggers

I just wondered if anyone has seen a program for Closed B.Net lod that would keep track of what I have on/in my character/inventory/stash automatically? I've seen ones where its manual, but never by itself. You know, like I pick up, say, a Valk Wing and put in my inv. I want a program that would keep track pf that w/out me having to enter it in.
    That would be AWESOME :surprise:

Even if the program does exist, i doubt that blizzard will allow it. it might be considered as a 3rd party program. plus if i remember correctly, they don't like programs that scan their servers.

You want something like ATMA for Bnet. It is not going to happen, and even if it does exist, you are not going to find it here. Characters on closed realms are saved on the server, not on your hard drive - otherwise it would be far too easy to play on closed Bnet with hacked characters and/or gear.

how does that have anything to do with being able to get hacked, he just wants something that tells him in a text format what he has on each character.

I know perfectly what he wants, but I just said that it is not able without running some third party program on the background while you are connected to the closed realms, and that's why he is not getting this kind of information on these forums. If the characters were stored on your hard drive, then it would be easy to make such a program in a more legal way. But they are not. I don't know how clear my post was, but as far as I know, I only mentioned "hacking" when I was talking about the reason that closed realm characters are saved on the server.

What he wants is a packet capture tool+filter.

No need to 'access' the character files stored on the server. Just capture all the d2 packets sent to your system, filter the junk, output to text file.(Or, ideally, html)

The comparison to ATMA is pretty off, as ATMA actually scans the character file. He wants something that'll detect item pickups while he's playing and saves them in a readable format.

And your-god-of-choice knows that the closed realms are hackproof dot dot dot

-SoulTorn D. hoping the forums don't go splat, when he tries to post this...again.

In 09 there was an inventory program that recorded all items on your character and in your stash. I have not heard if it still works or not. As for the comment regarding accessing the server that is not necessary. All of the information regarding your items is sent to your computer everytime you log into the game. As somone else pointed out, all you have to do is capture that information. However to do that you need a program and I dont know how you could argue that it is not a third party program considering that Blizzard did not provide it. Basically, if you play on Battle.net you are suppose to use what Blizzard provided and nothing else so get out your pen and paper and start writing. :)
