    Introducing Matriarch Spasm

    I finally finished my 200% FC Charged Boltress. Look for the guide in a few days or so.

    First, a big thanks to DougtheHead2 for donating a Griffon's Eye, which was the last item I needed to finish Spasm.

    Now the story:

    First, please read and comment on the guide when I post it. Lots of stuff is in there.

    This character was a blast to play. She could "rush" herself, because she could teleport so fast. The only problem with her was her utter lack of FHR (I really should have worked harder for 5x Sparking GC's of Balance).

    The whole game she played very fast, and no act (outside of Hell Act 5) took more than 20 minutes. She played that fast.

    Basic strategy was to tele on the moster, static, and then CB it to death. 24 bolts at ~340 damage with my -res killed anything on /p1 fairly quickly.

    There were plenty of deaths with her though, mostly due to a teleporting misstep and my lack of FHR. The Ancients also killed be twice, both a combination of a WW'ing Talic and myself being cursed. Gloams also pwned me pretty hard in act 4 Hell.

    Baal and his cronies were a easy enough, and done on /p3. Baal dropped nothing.

    In reality, nothing about the game was hard for her, except any area where succubi were present. They attack from extremely long range (but lightning is longer :uhhuh: ), and do a tremendous amount of damage. Slingers in act 5 hell were also a slight problem, but they were always CI, and not LI.

    On the ancients: I swear I rerolled these guys at least 20 times over two playing sessions, mostly from FE. The other times, there was at least one CI/LI, or one was cursed.

    I almost killed them when two were cursed, and there was a might aura active, but they killed my merc, and that was the end of that.

    I finally killed them, with only Mawdawc LI, and no terrible mods. The merc slowed down everyone, and then I ran around the thrower, lobbing orbs at him. He died without incident.

    Like I said, please read and comment on the guide when it comes out. Look for it tomorrow, after I finish the latter sections.

    When you make the guide, be sure to ask Lira Lindriel for some tips, I remember she was expert with charged boltresses :)

    Omg, 20 minutes for one act? Tele*****.. ;) I doubt you have >800 energy btw! :p About your merc: I use almost the same setup, Rockstopper, Reaper's Toll, Shaftstop. Why do you use Duriel's? With Rockstopper 'Tal' a merc is already at max res. Cnbf?

    Duriel's is one of my favorite armors. CBF, nice res, +life/lvl, +defense/lvl. CBF is the big one though. I have found that mercs often die because they are frozen. D-Shell just fixes that.

    If you use Duriel's Shell you could drop the Rockstopper and use a Vampire Gaze instead, because you don't need res anymore and it has more DR + some leech. :thumbsup:

    i once had a pure cb-sorc in 1.08 on c-net, i can't remember if she killed anything... ...but your sorc seems very viable to beat the whole game solo :thumbsup:
