Insurance denied Woot!!!

Ok so i have this pre existant medical condition (wont go into detail) that i did not know was serious and thought not much about it till the last 3 month's now's it's a big problem and require's Surgery gah it hurt's so much... so spent the last month tryin too get insurance and found a promising Insurance plan that payed for this type of medical care all was said and done and seemed like they were gonna aprove , they even knew the day that the hospital Schedueled my Surgery wich was 5/30 Just got a Phone call today from the hospital saying... " Sayin we will not do the surgery because your Insurance wont cover a Pre existant medical problem , and only was too get surgery is pay us 3k up front".

Woot!!! Now i have no idea what too do since cant find an Insurance plan too pay for pre-existant Med problem. Currently tryin Medi-care wish me Luck lol...

Good thing i still have good Wolf Karma , it's only thing keepin me goin

I sympathize with you but there is one thing I just can't grasp.

From what you told us, you knew about this for a good long time. Insurance companies won't allow pre-existing for like 90 days but then they will cover any covered problem.

If you knew about this all this time, why didn't you get insurance long ago to avoid this problem?

I know you said that you didn't know it was serious, but since you have had it a good while, you should have known how serious it could get.

Either you are now paying for not doing what should have been done long ago, or this is one really weird medical problem.

Even if they removed your brain, and replaced it with a cabbage, the residue would still remain, and seep back in.

Only way i can exsplain it it this , Imagaine a Tiny tiny crack in the ground you dont think much of it right prob cant even see it, then boom in the blink of an eye an earthqauke happen's and its a big gap now it's a problem.

I did not know it was a Pre-existant med condition until recently because i didnt know there was anything wrong did not even notice what was goin on till the pain came all of a sudden one day and grew outa control. That's when i got off my butt and am tryin too fix thing's.

They said it might be Cancer but i dont know how i can have cancer at such a young age... at 18

Are you working? Does the illness inhibit your ability to work. If so, you may want to talk to your doc about applying for SSI disability, especially if they think you may have cancer.

Insurance companies are irritating, to say the least. I've been covered by insurance for years at work. I suffer from diabetes and heart disease, and have been treated for years.

I quit my job, and moved to another town when my wife took a job here. My wife now carries the insurance on the both of us. We went to a new doctor in our new town, did a full cardiac and diabetic workup.

Now, we get a letter from wife's insurance company, telling us they cannot cover my illnesses due to them being pre-existing. I figure I've got 3-4 months of jumping through hoops, trying to get documentation from my previous insurer, showing that I'm insurable. In the mean time, I'm stuck paying the doctor/labwork/etc out of my pocket.

That is pretty common. Insurance companies only pay for problems that occur after you have bought the insurance. Otherwise no one would have a health insurance and then just buy it for one month when they need medical expenses covered.
