    Insomnia..

Any one know a decent, non-drug/alcohol related way to get rid of this? Going on two months now and it's getting quite old.

Melatonin pills. It's the brain chemical that tells your body it's time to go to sleep.

Yep, and the research backs it up... I wish I could find that article...

Regular exercise helped me when I was dealing with insomnia...

I have found that Valerien root can help sometimes. It's an herb and it's over the counter. It smells like cow manure but it's not addictive or anything. You can get some crazy dreams but at least you are sleeping. I have a lot of problems with sleeping so I ended up on Ativan but only take it when I absolutely have to. I try to exercise everyday and found that really really helped. Also have a bath with some lavender bubbles before bed and try reading until you feel sleepy.

Yeah? It's supposed to be great for jetlag too. It basically resets your body clock when you take it... and it's completely safe.

That might work...if I had a willing other..but he's all ready snoring away.

I started a 40 minute full body workout last month. I do it every morning.
Haven't heard of that. Maybe a GNC run will be on the schedule tomorrow.

I've tried Valerian/Chammomile tea. I also use lavender/chammomile essential oil either directly on my pillow or in a diffuser, but that isn't even working. It used to knock me out. For about a month I was popping tylenol sleep pills every night, but I hate taking that constantly.

Where the heck did my post go?

Anyway, I just asked if your doc prescribed anything? Cause mine never would when I had it...

Haven't been to a Doc for it. I absolutely hate the idea of taking a prescription drug for it. I was hoping it would just wear off. I've had it before, but it was usually related to a major event in my life. This has no reason for being as far as I'm concerned, other than making me unrealistically crabby.
