Initial/Opening Music ... way too loud!

Does anyone else feel strongly about this?

This hasn't bothered me before, since I was on speakers
But now that I'm using headphones exclusively, the Initial music (blizzard logo, then loading up the selection screen(single, multi, battle.net, cinematics) is way too loud. No matter what you do, there's just no escaping the loud music

The in-game volume control doesn't affect the main selection screen and the initial opening music

Sure I can adjust the main volume control, but then every other program I launch will be affected as well. If I set the volume at a comfortable level for DII, every other program will be hard to hear

And no, Im not switching back to speakers.

I know, I hate this too. I listen to a ton of mixes while I play D2 and since I only play single player, I have to use GoMule a lot. This means I have to constantly pause my mix when I start up and exit the game.

You can turn the menu music off by pressing CTRL-M.

CTRL-M!?! THAT EASY!??? My wife and I were just complaining about it last night.. I tried to disable my D2xMusic.mpq and when I tried to restart the game it said to "Insert Disc".
Does CTRL-M work with the music that plays between creating games?? That would just be amazing. I usually watch Hulu while I play so it would make things so much nicer.

    Yes it does.
However, the loud sound effect of blizzards logo on startup will still be there, so I click my mouse like a madman to keep my ears from bleeding during this..
Is there a way to turn this of as well?

IDC about that part, I click through so fast too that I never see it! I'm so excited. Do I have to press it each time I load the game, or just once and it remembers it?

Muffinman, I dont know how to turn off the 2 (blizard entertainment and blizzard north) opening music, but if you play on window mode, they never appear
You head straight to the main selection screen with the loud music

    Bruisr
    It remembers it :)
Whether I use my "window mode" shortcut or "fullscreen" shortcut

The snowy "blizzard north" and blue "blizzard entertainment" music still plays (in fullscreen)
I just keep hitting the [ESC]ape key till I get to the main selection screen
It doesnt bother me so much, since it isnt as loud as the main selection screen's music :)

    Thanks once again, Kimppi!
