infinty vs pride

It's one of the more expensive dupewords out there. I would hope that it would pwn...

I think it all comes down to your merc. In all respects, he is your summoner's most important minion. With pride, you are slapping him across the face with absolutely no on wep ed%. Infinity on the other hand, has massive ed%, which can be multiplied with off wep ed% such as fort for absolutely massive damage.

No one has even mention that conviction lowers enemy defence by a LOT.

It increases your skeleton's damage over time to be able to hit more often, and that certainly adds up.

This is really only important when it comes to battles against Bosses. Against all other minions the Skellies have really good AR. It is still important, but only when your main concern is battle against Bosses.

I remember you mentioned this one time when I asked about a Blessed Aim Merc. I took a look at a Necro Pet Calculator, ran some numbers, and it seems that skeletons' AR is based off of the Necro character's level in addition to skill levels, so they do end up with nice AR.

You might also consider that if you're ever doing baal-runs you will end up with a paladin in your party making your pride useless.

Then again, I very rarely meet anyone that actually cares about anything during those runs...

And yes, I'm one of those summoners that summons a few minions(5-6) and cast curses instead of sitting around leeching and gets the "Noob" comments in my face :sad2:

I'll go with Infinity on mine since I think the overall effect of boosting both mages and skellies is worth more to me then a "just" another damage aura.

To teach ignorant pubbies a lesson, cast the modified form of Corpse Explosion on them: Player Explosion. When their precious Hammerdins and Lite Sorcs die in a fiery pop, they'll know who's boss.

Another thing to note is that Infinity is likely a much more beneficial/flexible Runeword than Pride, as you can then transfer the Infinity polearm to your Sorceress', Assassin's, or Amazon's mercenary.

Unless you are somehow rich enough that you can create Prides and Infinities whenever you wish.
