Infinity and lightning build question

Hi everyone. I'm planning to get an infinity off someone and it's cheaper to get a slow weapon speed infinity. The fast atk speed one is a lot more expensive but I sorta felt that the slow one may also work since the sorc deals the most dmg anyways. Should I just save the buck and get the cheaper one? (sorry if I've offended anyone who's against purchasing items. I really don't have time to farm for the runes, esp the polearm)

I'm also working on a pure lightning sorc and would like to get some feedback on the last 20 skill pts. Right now I maxed lightning, cl, cb and lm. I was wonder if i should just dump the rest to nova to max out the synergy or would it be better off to invest in other skills? I'm also stuck at my stats as I'm using a spirit monarch shield but the block rate sucks! Should I still continue to boost my dex for max block or i should just use another shield. I really dun wanna give the spirit up.

Well what's the difference in cost of the two speeds?

it's about 15-17 bucks for the higher speed, and the cheaper one is only 5 bucks.. dmg should be around the same.. just that the atk speed is slow vs fast..

Can someone also address my question related to my build (last 20 skill placement) and whether i should keep the spirit for max block or just leave it?

get a low strg and low dex infinity and use it youself. Get enough itens to reach the 117 FCR breakpoint and make a full energyshield sorc.

I would make:
20 Energy Shield
20 Telekinessis
20 Light
20 Charged Bolt/CL/Nova
20 Light Mastery

Griffons, Vipermagi, 10FCR ammy, 2 10FCRrings, Arachs and magefist will give you 125FCR.

nova + infinity kills fast enough.

The best part is that is hard to get killed. (PvM)

Charged bolt have only one synergy, Nova has no synergies, they are two ways to go.

Another option is to go full vita and max all the skills, but it will be hard to use infinity.

If you want full vita get a crescent moon for yourself and leave the merc with the infinity, but then he will need a stronger polearm, and they are more expansive to our friend.

Thank you for answering. I don't think i'd want to give up my shield and weapon for cresent moon.. but how does infinity or -lightning resist works anyways (cos you said it's harder to use infinity if i max all the skills) Do I have to target the monster to get the -resist bonus? i always thought that Infinity should be on merc cos it's the conviction aura that breaks the immunity.. and the - lightning resist is global and I don't have to get close or target mobs. Can someone clarify this?

-lightening res only works with character that equips it.
so you are not going to get any benefit from your merc's -light res part of infinity.
If you wear it on the other hand, you can actually benefit from the conviction aura and the -light res mod from infinity.
