Increase the Strengh of Your Merc

Just wondering if anyone know how to either increase the strenght of merchats so they can wear stronger gears, or simple know which Act merchant have the highest strength?

I got an Eth Fort that require 200 + Strength requirement.

Gem your helm with a p ame

Also I would try to get a wep that gives you attributes.

I had to use BOTD and P ame'd vgaze to get 222 STR for my act 2 merc to use eth sacred armor stone runeword.

As soon as your act 2 merc can wear Andariel's Visage, all strength problems will be solved. Before that, you can use e.g. Griswold's armor with pamethysts, for a +50 str bonus, that will at least solve str problems with polearms like CVs.

A Face of Horror adds +20str as well, but mercs are often getting life leech from helms, so that might limit your selection of the weapon.

Damn, why didn't I think of that! Andy Mask. I can added one if the good runes to counter the -fire resist.

So my Mer will be Andy Mask, Eth Fort and Eth Infinity.

Leviathan is a pretty nice armor with tons of strength, 40-50 or so.

Andy's has a level req of 83, however.

Leviathan has a high str res (although you can use the str bug to your advantage and merc gear won't become unequipped when he is resurrected) and a level req of 65 while your merc can wear Griswold's armor from L45 on. Leviathan is better, of course... higher def, %DR.

Sometimes if you're hurting for strength or dexterity on your bro, and you got no items to buff, you might just have to grind a but to level your bruheimen up =\
Otherwise, socketing Amethysts is a good way of increasing strength without too much effort. You can always Hel + TP scroll later if you want to use the socket for something else.

have your merc exercise with dumbbells and lift weights....


or you could just do the shortcut and follow the above posts
