After playing about with Borderlands for the last couple of months, I decided to come back to D2. Got it up and running on Mavericks after a short tussle with PlayOnMac. It needed an update and a stern talking to. Then it took me a few minutes to remember what my characters were and how to use them.

Thankfully I play mostly SC, and only used those, so the somewhat embarrassing deaths weren't too painful. I did find a Sur rune on my first Trav run, only to die on my fourth because I forgot that Conviction and approximately 543 hydras is a bad combination when the merc is dead and I'm out of practice. And somehow my MF sorc died to Pindle, which I'm pretty sure is an indication of poor form.

I've got a barb that I left in A5 NM that I moved along smartly to A3 Hell before I proved I'm a noob again and got him dead. But he's sturdy enough that he should be patted shortly with hopefully no more driver related incidents. And I have an assassin in mind that I had started about 5 years ago (pre restart) that I want to do again, but find myself lacking a key piece of kit. Other builds of both cookie cutter and non will follow as I have ideas and gear for them. I really want to do a tankazon, but its a slow build, and I'm more of a high speed type of player. I'm not sure if i can handle playing one all the way to the end.

So I'll post ramblings and thoughts here and there, and drop in now and again.

PS: Whither the dailies?

Welcome back!

Dailies are almost a thing of the past.
But to be honest, it might be a good thing, we already have 50% of threads and 90% of posts being OT, with dailies it would be 90% and 99% :p

And have you thought of trying PvP, or have you tried it already in the past?

Welcome back. Maybe you could see if the dailies take off again, although I imagine there's not enough posters nowadays. :(

Dailies used to be threads posted on a daily basis (one per day, usually with a pun or relevance to the original poster's day in the title.)
They basically just have "RL:" with their real life activies, "D2" with their D2 plans/games, and "OVG" for Other games.

And there I always thought playing D2 was like riding the bike - it gets inscribed in your neuronal connections and you can never unlearn it :p
