In search of more 80's soft metal

Im going through a wierd music phase. Im really addicted to this stuff. What are some more songs I should have? I'm talking about really nice slow songs with decent lyrics, played by popular metal bands from the 80's, that still have that beautiful 80's guitar distortion that shreds your face off.

    these kinds of songs:

poison - every rose has its thorn
guns n roses - knockin on heaven's doors
    def leppard - love bites
    bryan adams - heavan

i havn't ever really been big on 80s so what are some more obvious ones that i must have.

    YES!!!!

I'm listening to a lot of this music now, myself. You'll want to check out the songs on the Monster Ballad CDs. Just look them up on Amazon.

    Highlights include:
    Warrant - Heavan
Poison - Something to Believe In
    Damn Yankees - High Enough
    Scorpions - Winds of Change

    Also:
    Nightranger - Sister Christian
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
    Styxx - Lady

    Money for nothing

I suggest the Dire Straits' hit "Money for Nothing". Lots of guitar riffs in that song.
